Arrival at reception was warm and welcoming - Lawrence and team were super and treated us like royalty! Got upgraded twice due to an issue with our original room. Dinner at Granita was excellent. Our waiter, Sunry was wonderful. Manager on duty was friendly and attentive (apologies, cannot remember her name). Spa treatment was top class, a really beautiful Spa with lots of yummy treats! Abigail and Mandy were wonderful. All staff, including ground staff, very welcoming and friendly!

Our only gripe, the service at the Kingsley restaurant was shockingly slow. We had dinner on the patio on Saturday evening, there were only about 5 or so tables being served so it wasn't in the slightest busy. The food was good, no complaints there, but the service was really under parr. We also overheard another table complaining about the lack of service. In saying that, every staff member was friendly and welcoming, but this was certainly a let-down!

I really enjoyed the diner on Saturday as it was my birthday celebration with the family. The breakfast also was very good and we enjoyed it with the wife and the kids.

Lawrence, one of the managers put us in Room 72, a nice room. He also explained that the estate was still busy with renovations. So, on the renovations, I would like to see the WiFi more easily accessible all around the property so that the kids can enjoy it. Lastly, there needs to be an improvement in the lights and the plugs. We struggled to find the plugs, and the bedside lamps flickered when we turned them on. There's also a need to put the two-point plugs or USB plugging points.

Rooms & restaurant was good, although the wines were quite pricy. It's a niche place to visit in Gauteng with it's Cape wine farm theme, offering picnics etc. The service was great.

Not replenishing be my coffee supply for the following mornings The security concerned me, as it is in a relatively high crime area & my patio door couldn't lock. The front of the room only had blinds, so the room was quite light early in the morning, maybe some blackout features & fittings should be considered.

It’s a beautiful property, with great amenities and onsite entertainment, perfect for a restful getaway. The breakfast offering is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff as well.

I found that housekeeping needed attention, with it being summer there’s bound to be bugs, so extra care needed to make sure they’re removed. It’s also quite hot this time of the year, so I would suggest a cooling system in the pool area similar to the one at the restaurant.

Look, when I tell you this place oozes professionalism, class, efficiency, great ambiance, great food, spa facilities are a must. They even called me long after my stay to check if my spa treatments were not affecting me in any way. Talk about not feeling like a number!! Joseph at Reception made my stay even memorable, so helpful staff!! Love! Love! Love it here... 💛🙏🏽

We chose this place because it’s a winery with beautiful cape Dutch buildings and grounds which is situated about an hour away from OR Tambo (JNB international airport). Food and service both great for dinner.

The gardens are well tended but being woken up by a tractor moving the lawn before 8 am is not great. Quite a lot of noisy construction and renovation work being done It took 10 minutes to get a fried egg for breakfast. We were surprised by small aircraft flying overhead and didn’t know there’s a small national airport nearby but we’re not disturbed by this at night

The staff were excellent. Special thanks to Lawrence (Manager) who gave us an upgrade. Also to Sarah at the Spa who was very good and professional. We had a pleasant stay.

We had to change our room (105) to 106 after a colony of ants were found in the shower cubicle after day one of our stay.Food quality needs some improvement.

We arrived early, and the staff did not hesite to find a room for us and allow us to check-in early. They even let us check-out later than usual. The facilities are lovely and the staff was friendly. The rooms were very clean (I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness). The food at Granita (their fine dinning restaurant) was lovely and their buffet breakfast was surprisingly tasty and had a good selection.

The spa facilities are great but I was very unfortunate because my therapist did not give me a good massage at all. :( My husband, on the other hand, loved his massage. There was a lot going on and it gets quite busy (events, picnics, group parties etc.) There was also construction going on so that wasn't great.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had dinner there both nights & it was first class!

The hotel is starting to look a little run down. The outside lights by my patio & the other patios were hanging out of there sockets. The lamp shade next to my bed had fallen off & when I ask for it to please be fixed it was just balance badly back on top. My patio door didn't lock. Just basic maintenance things that don't take long to fix, but make a big overall impression to a guest.

the spa facilities were great. enjoyed the sauna, steam room etc. The meals including breakfast were great value for money.

The basin in the room needs fixing. The water doesn't go down the drain easily making it user unfriendly. Would have loved to join the Father's Day activities but as guests, we were not allowed as we didn't have the required wrist bands. Meaning after breaksfast, we were supposed to vacate the premises. I think next time you have such events organised in the facility, let your guests know so that they can either purchase the tickets to join in(if they want) or be prepared to leave as soon as they are done eating breakfast. Maybe make the guest aware during check in to see if they would be interested than making them vacate the premises with immediate effect after breakfast.
