Rene and Renata were super friendly. The lodge is spotless and breakfasts are great. Pool is blue and water clear and views are really great.

If i have to say something, the TV in the bedroom we were in was small by latest standards, high up in a corner of the room. Also doesn't have full bouquet of sports channels. Also no gaming such as Scrabble etc, table tennis , darts, snooker/pool table etc or big screen TV in the common area ... may be an issue if you are unlucky with the weather.

René was warm and welcoming, even though I arrived earlier than check-in time. He patiently explained where various facilities were located. He would not hear of me taking a taxi to the Margate Airport. He drove me there and carried my rather heavy suitcase, in the rain, all the way to the check-in counter. An outstanding and most helpful host.

What an amazing place this is. exceptional views of the Indian Ocean, lovely big rooms with doors that open up to the beautiful garden, swimming pool and sea views. The breakfast was superb, and our host was attentive and there to help with whatever was needed.

Nothing - the facilities were great, everything and more than we needed, e.g. a kitchen that was available with coffee, tea, fridge, microwave, extra cutlery and dishes if needed

This is our second stay and this time we stayed in one of the rooms with an upstairs balcony. What an amazing space, super comfortable bed, beautifully decorated and the most unbelievable wet room with bath and shower. as always the views from Wailana lodge are hard to beat. The hosts are just lovely and the home made breakfast hard to beat

Nothing, everything is first class

Renee and his staff were exceptionally welcoming and assisted us with all our queries and requests. We felt right at home and had the best night's rest in years! Also, an absolute bonus was the gorgeous view right from our porch! Delicious breakfast was served together with great coffee.

Superb facilities, great view of the ocean, and good breakfast included in the price. Absolutely nothing not to like. The Ramsgate Marine Ramble is easy to access from Wailana Lodge, providing a gentle level path along the back of the beach - you can go as far as Southbroom, and there's a good coffee shop overlooking the ocean midway. Also a number of interesting restaurants within easy walking distance of Wailana Ladge.

The hosts were exceptional. They made sure that we were comfortable and didn't want for anything. The accommodation is well situated with stunning views. Close to blue flag beaches with many fantastic eateries close by.

Rene and Renata were excellent hosts and provided great accommodation and a platform to explore the surrounding areas while still having the ability to come back to your room and enjoy the ocean view from your balcony. We were lucky enough to go during a very busy whale period so we were treated to abundant sightings. Breakfast everyday was great on the common deck overlooking the ocean. The lodge's location against the hill meant the amphitheater effect from the crashing waves was a spectacular backdrop for resting.

I liked breakfast but it could be much better if there could be variety on different days, not offer same staff every morning. I also liked the grounds and the environment.

The view is just AMAZING. I loved the wooden doors without the glass which one can lock for peace of mind but you can hear the sea while you sleep.

The TV is very small. The blinds which can't close properly.
