Hôtel was beautiful, lovely decor, room was comfortable and proximity to a metro train stop was ideal. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and the food on the 7th floor terrace was excellent. Staff member Alejandro was absolutely wonderful, helping me with my very bad Spanish and excellent customer service. He made my stay enjoyable by his kindness and warm welcome. Gracias Alejandro x

No kettle to make a cup of tea and no ironing board and iron. I didn’t want to pay extra for an ironing service and in Australia an iron is a standard thing in a hotel room, even budget hotels. Encountered a rude bar tender one night (Wednesday 31st), he made me feel unwelcome on the rooftop terrace which I let the reception know. A young man with a poor attitude.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Emilia and would definitely recommend it. The staff were the highlight for us - a very friendly receptionist who helped us during check-in and kindly gave us a room upgrade. There was also a wonderful waitress at the bar who recommended a great wine from Tarragona and gave us travel recommendations for Tarragona and other parts of Spain we didn't know so much about. Our room was spacious and clean. You can fully open the window/door which is lovely so can have a cool breeze in the room. Shower and wifi all worked well. Room could be a little dark but it wasn't an issue. It was quiet at night. Terrace was great and we ate some snacks and had a drink there, though it was a little chilly in February so we only used it once during our stay. We didn't have dinner or breakfast at the hotel, but we did enjoy wine, olives, nuts and Spanish omelette which were available to order from the bar.

We chose this location in Barcelona as we hadn't stayed in this area before. It's a lovely area with a local feel, good bars and cafes etc around. It is, however, not super close to some touristy things which is some ways is good, but others may feel not so much if they like to be in the hubbub.

The hotel has a lovely bar/lounge area at the entrance and a very eclectic vibe to it. The staff was also very helpful and the standard room had a decent size and was very clean. The rooftop is also worth a visit

It was quite noisy in the rooms, but I guess that is generally speaking standard in Barcelona. What I didn’t enjoy so much was that the cleaners still came in the room, even though the “Do Not Disturb” sign was out

I recently stayed at Villa Emilia and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any inquiries or requests. The hotel’s location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and public transport. I highly recommend Villa Emilia for anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay!

Location of the hotel is very good, subway station just around the corner, more than decent neighborhood, easy to find places to eat or shop. Excellent on site bar/restaurant, beautiful roof terrace to relax and enjoy food and drinks. Kind staff, absolutely no complaints about room/bathroom and other facilities.

No major complaints. Breakfast could be a bit more better (more options). Value for money is OK, it's not a cheap hotel but it's in the price category of similar hotels in Barcelona. I didn't like that the taxi they arranged for us to the airport was about 10 EUR more expensive than Uber or if we had just taken a regular taxi. It's not about the 10 EUR, but why do that?

Great location close to metro and amenities and staff were very helpful.

The location was perfect. I was able to walk everywhere. The restaurant was delightful and offered love music nights. My room was spacious and comfortable.

The hotel recommended Welcome Pickups for travel from the airport to their location. But I noticed that Welcome Pickups charges double what a regular cab fare would have been. I wish I had simply taken a cab...I thought the hotel was recommending this service as the safest and most affordable option. In my previous travel experiences, often the hotel is able to provide a "deal" on transport to their hotels. So their recommendations tend to be cost saving. This was disappointing to have over paid in this manner

The location is great. Just few minutes walk to M station and Bus station. The room is clean but the bathroom door is sliding one, which didn’t really close well. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The security at hotel is good as well, hotel door is closed after 12:00 a.m. The hotel bar/ restaurant is great. Food & coffee served there are delicious.

The location of the hotel is near from the airport, it's around 30 mins from the airport to the hotel by uber. You may walk around 3 mins and see the metro to the ciutat vella area, then you may walk to see most of the travel spots. The security in here and around the hotel is safe, no strange people around this area, it is friendly to female travellers. There's local store for buying snacks and waters and some local restaurants which look tasty. It is easy to find food nearby. For the room, it is tidy, and the bathroom is clean and big, they also provide l'occitane shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. For the bed, it is comfy and it can fits 3 people, 1 twin bed plus 1 single bed. For the service, the front desk is helpful and welcome us to visit their rooftop bar. The bar opens at 5pm to around 1230am, it's quite chilling. And their response is quick too when I use the booking.com app to communicate with them. Overall we have a good experience in here, will definitely book this hotel when we come back to Barcelona.

What a fabulous hotel! Very modern but really comfortable with lots of character. The bar and restaurant area was particularly nice. Even if there were just a few guests at the bar or in the restaurant it had a lovely atmosphere. It is very popular with local residents. There is live music in the bar on Thursday and Saturday. Great food, excellent breakfast and exceptional staff. The rooms were modern and very clean. Really comfortable bed and lovely toiletries. Two minute walk to nearest Metro station (L1)

Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been a nice.
