Our only regret with the stay was that we were only there for one night. Definitely a second night would have been a delight. The staff were very good (but not exceptional) and the building and environment lived up to expectations. We really enjoyed the setting right in the middle of things and found the location to be very walk-able. The view from the room over the pool and the room itself just felt right and was very relaxing and comfortable.

On the whole, I would not suggest anything. Nothing fell short of expectations and a few things exceeded.

the staff are really helpful and friendly, the hotel is a lovely building with plenty of space around,

we booked half board the menue was ok but limited and food sometimes only warm, the steak in port was raw (it did not say tartar) some fish was served slightly translucent (not cooked ) . We asked if we could use the bar menue for a change because of limited selection in restaurant and told not possible, so we had to pay extra.

Good location close to the ocean and old town.

Bad management. The manager at the hotel was very rude and argumentative when we complained about the air conditioning not working. It was very hot, 37 degrees outside and almost unbearable in the room. We understand that things can’t be fixed just like that but the managers attitude and disrespectful comments towards my wife was totally uncalled for. It was so bad that we feel like we should make a formal complaint.

It is a beautiful building, with so much history and charm. The courtyard bar area is pleasant. The bed was soft and comfortable. The location in town is great and very walkable to lots of restaurants and the bay front. Having parking in this town seems to be a rare thing, so that was appreciated.

The pool area could have used a little fixing up, as the pool furniture was a bit old and dirty, but the garden area around the pool was pretty.

Right in the centre of things in Cambados. Very spacious room, very clean and comfortable bed and bedding. Pool was lovely on a very hot day. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Private parking.

Bar service was a little slow. Our companions put out the ‘no molestar’ notice but the maids ignored and went into their room.

Excellent location in the old town, easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants. The hotel building is an old Pazo and is worth the experience of a stay in such an amazing place.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The only small thing we would have liked was to be able to order a coffee in the morning without having to have the whole breakfast

Like all the Paradors this hotel was excellent. Central to the town with the old town on one side and the new one on the other and facing the promenade, the location was perfect. Secure car parking and friendly staff. The rooms were very comfortable with very comfortable beds and the bed linen very good quality giving us a perfect nights sleep. Comfortable bar and lounge areas and the dining room for breakfast was well laid out with particular attention given to individual sanitary care per client. Very good breakfast.

Location and the historic building

We rang before booking to check that the pool was open during our stay and were assured that it was. Upon arrival we were told that it didn’t open until 1st June… the day we left. Initially we were told that we could not even sit in the grounds surrounding the pool but as other guests were we did. A great pity as the weather was very good.

Great location, very central to walk out into Cambados. Beautiful building, quality surroundings. Good reception staff ( Margaret ). Car parking secure, barrier entries. Courtyard seating area.

Outdoor pool not open, yet this was not stated when booked (and it was one of factors as to why we chose it). No robes, slippers, water, or tea coffee facilities which would have expected from this type of quality hotel. So bit disappointed to be honest.

Charming hotel in great location.

Rude and unhelpful lady at reception. She had a negative attitude from the outset. Stark contrast to the charming and positive staff at the Parador in Baiona.
