Breakfast was great, classic.

Got a room right above the cafe which was very noise until 2am, fortunately I was changed for the next night. Was denied table for dinner until I complained and aparently hotel guests get priority due to lack of tables for dinner

A little bit clubby. Obviously lots of people who go every year and know each other and a pool attendant who kept them seats in the mornings

excellent location, beautiful view, big rooms ( we were in a classic room), clean, many restaurants, the pool and the spa! all great

the service at the restaurant was terrible ! unfortunately! for a great hotel and 5 star hotel I was expecting much better service! they were forgetting the orders, bringing one plate at a time, forgetting the drinks, no napkins, extremely slow service to take the order etc et .

Traditional Spanish. Hurrah. Some lovely furniture in corridors. Lovely spacious grounds. Large pool area. Adjacent to sea - the point of trip. Linens lovely English crockery !

Furniture in my room somewhat just old and knocked about not antique ! Noise from events . Odd dining with minimum of two people which is hard if a solo traveller ! Consigned to terrace cafe therefore tho food was good

Our room was overlooking the garden and just off the reception area . Maybe just a bit too noisy from passing guests and the lounge area . Saturday night was very busy and Monday night summer party seemed to go on all night

The team grows on you - very genuine, kind personalities who do their utmost to meet the requirements of guests. The property has the most beautiful location and views.

The bathtub was mysteriously absent from the bathroom. There was no flowers or fruits or champagne in the suite to welcome the guests. The spa is fundamentally mismanaged and lucks basics such as changing room amenities and drinking water in the steam room, pool and all areas. No teas, snacks, fruits or other fundamentals that would normally be available at any spa run within a luxury property.

We had a wonderful experience, since the moment we arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and their hospitality was outstanding. One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic breakfast offered by the hotel. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations, and the attentive staff ensured that I had everything I needed. The hotel itself is impeccable and super charming, and services provided were excellent across the board.

Hostal La Gavina is a great choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While the rooms are spacious and pleasant, it is worth noting that certain aspects of the hotel's infrastructure, given its age of over 90 years, could benefit from refurbishment. In particular, the noise isolation could be improved by sealing the doors more effectively.

The staff were extremely friendly, especially at the hotel lobby. The outside restaurant staff had a hard time speaking English which made communications a little difficult but overall the staff were great.
