Modern and well maintained hotel with excellent facilities. Spacious rooms and big comfy beds. The kids pool is amazing and perfect for kids 0-7. Nice playground on site and all 2 wonderful options just outside of the hotel. Staff is attentive and speaks English, which is helpful. Entertainment (including kids entertainment) is in Spanish as majority of guests are Spanish. Loved aqua aerobics, which is twice a day! Lots of other sports options like football or volleyball for teens and adults. The beach is public and absolutely lovely, you can rent a sun bed and umbrella. The dinner buffet food variety is impressive, there is a new theme every day - Italian, Mexican, Asian. Plenty of choices for any taste or diet (fish, seafood, vegetarian options). Lots of options for kids - pasta, pizza etc. Prices for extras like drinks at the bar or ice cream (if you aren’t all inclusive) are very reasonable.

Some bar cocktails weren’t up to scratch. For example, margarita was very watery and tasted like lemonade. I’d rather recommend Aperol Spritz. The hotel didn’t offer airport transfers, had to find one online.

Excellent location right next to a beautiful long sandy beach. Big room, with nice balcony and sea view. We upgraded to the superior room which in my opinion was totally worth it. With the upgrade you get water and tea / coffee in your room everyday, 1 free access to the spa and most importantly usage of the rooftop infinity pool with free cava, fruit and water. Excellent if you want a bit of peace and quiet as only children over 13 can go there! Food was ok, good selection (not a huge variety of vegan options tho) and drink prices were reasonable. I was HB and would do it again.

Needed more hangers in the wardrobes, asked the cleaners and at reception but to no avail. When upgraded you still needed to leave the cash deposit for the pool towels that were a bit small and manky; although they could be changed regularly at the spa area. Personally, I wouldn’t say the food was really up to 4* standard, having stayed in lots of other hotels in that sort of area, but it wasn’t that bad and I would return. I can imagine in the summer it’s very hot and busy in the restaurant. I think it would be ideal if one floor of the superior rooms was child free…. Lots of very loud, crying babies running around which wasn’t super relaxing in the morning.

We could hear the entertainers' music from our room in the evenings which was a little loud but other than that, we loved the room as kids could see the slides from our terrace and it was a short walk to the kids pool area.

We didn't like that there was no kettle in our room as we had asked for one to be able to make our baby's bottles with. This should have just been offered to us. Similarly, we found it very strange that the coffee machine in the canteen which provides boiling water is only available at breakfast as this could have been very helpful to us parents plus many people would want coffee after their lunch and dinner. Kids pool opens at 11am which is a little late, 10am would be better in our opinion.

Loved our room this time overlooking the sea and pool (did not like our room the last time we stayed, it was in the shade and overlooked by the opposite block). The staff were friendly and very efficient. The pool area was lovely and plenty of room.

Dinner was sometimes loud and crowded although we tried to avoid the busy times. We have stayed twice in the last month and wanted to book again for 2 weeks next May and 2 weeks next October but only if we could have a room on the top floor of block 7, the hotel said they would try their best but couldn’t guarantee it. We do not want to risk a room similar to the first time we stayed so we will probably try another hotel on the Costa Ballena, which is a shame.

Room was a good size. Swimming pool area very spacious and clean. Liked that the pool area was closed until 10:30 so there was no saving sunbeds, of which there were plenty. Food very good especially the Wok station. Coeliacs well catered for. A special mention to Maribela, Josefina, Alexandra and Eva in the restaurant who showed genuine friendliness, concern and helpfulness to us both but especially making sure my husband’s gluten free needs were well met, excellent service from them and Best Hotels should be proud to have them on their staff. Thank you.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The toilet paper could have been better quality. Smoking by the block entrances. View from our room straight into the next block. We asked to change rooms but none available except for an upgrade which we were willing to take, but the view from the room wasn’t good either. We would stay again and have booked for next May but only if it was a superior south facing room. The hotel has not replied to our request, so as yet not sure if we will return or cancel.

The hotel is very spacious, the breakfast selection is good, the rooms are spacious, the swimming pools are very good. Staff all spoke good english.

The evening meals are OK but nothing special. The bidet in the room didnt work and it took 2 visits to fix it ! Car parking at in April was OK but I suspect in high season it may be difficult unless you pay 12 euros per night, Air con was turned off which at night you needed. Unless you stay in the hotel all day you need a car there is nothing around it, no bars no cafes.

The rooms and all the hotel areas, pools were clean, had direct beach with warmer indoor pool and colder outdoor pools. They offered various meal options. Unfortunately, for a single night stay "all inclusive" meal option was not available. It is only offered with 4+ nights stay. The infinity pool was lovely and the hotel was not too crowded. We had option to get an early check-in without getting the room and could use the hotel facilities until our room was ready. After the check-out we could also use the hotel facilities and store our luggages in a safe luggage room. The staff was very friendly, helpful and they did their best to accommodate our needs.

The food variety was limited and repetitive. We also faced issues with understanding of what is offered as the names were not placed next to the food. The food was unfortunately below our expectations, not well done or well spiced. Unfortunately, the limited cooked food and desserts were made in 50% of the cases with pork, so it was disappointing. We basically ate fries, pizza and fruits. The animation is available for small kids after the dinner, but on the days we were there, we have seen no actual programs, real activities during the day and the outdoor pools were not deep enough and had no slides for older kids or adults. There was no tea, coffee or even a kettle in the room.

Children's activities could have been better organised (aqua basket was in a deeper part of the pool so children couldn't reach comfortably, gymkhana was just colouring in and drawing for over an hour with no real activities) Food selection was great but quite repetitive (although to be expected when catering for so many people) Adult evening entertainment was not that interesting

Great pools, nice facilities, good food with a lot of choice, great option for staying with kids. Super close to the beach and very well connected by car.

Kids friendly hotel facilities but bedroom not according with only double beds. Should provide individual mattresses to place on the floor to small kids to improve the space in the bedroom. A bit disturbing to always pay for drinks at meals, understandly if we paid for alcoholic drinks but water bottle should be included at dinner.

Just home from a week at this resort , could not find fault with any part of our stay. The buffet breakfast lunch and dinner was just unreal quality and variety. The cleanliness of the hotel was Suberb. Facilities were excellent. Very enjoyable all round
