The old town of Cuenca lies on a steep hill and is very beautiful. The hotel and irs apartments Los Ojos de la Mora are almost at the top of the hill, so the location is perfect for the best views of both river gorges. Our apartment had stunning views over the river Jucar.

The apartment had a comfortable bed and sofa, a well-equipped bathroom with a low-floor shower (easy to walk into), and a kitchenette. The kitchenette had a breakfast bar with stools, and this was the only thing we would have changed - an ordinary table with dining chairs would have been more comfortable for us, since we are no longer young. But this was a small detail.

We booked a room that overlooks the river and gorge, spectacular views from balcony. The first hotel I have stayed in with two shower units in the large shower cubicle meaning two people can shower at once with their own settings! Good breakfast served with a large selection of fruits, pastries, juices and tea/coffee. Scrambled eggs served for UK visitors.... ;-) Like most Spanish towns parking is restricted, but at this hotel there is a secure 24h public carpark directly opposite. Pricey at 21€/day, but well worth it for a short stay.

There was a humming sound (probably a pump - not our aircon) external to our room that came on every minute or so and ran for about three seconds 24 hours/day. Not a problem during the day, but annoying when sleeping.

Clean comfortable room in the heart of the historic centre. Balcony giving an outstanding view across the gorge to the convent and surrounding countryside (but see 'What didn't you like'). It is a short walk to the cathedral and attractive main square with its numerous bars and restaurants. A good restaurant serving mainly Italian food is adjacent to the hotel. The nearby car park is quite expensive but there is free street parking about 150 metres away. It was no problem parking near the hotel for a short time to unload/load luggage. There was a surprisingly fast and efficient elevator to our 3rd floor room - not always the case in medieval, or even modern hotels.

Having, on a surprising number of occasions, booked rooms with listed but non-existant balconies, views etc. I emailed the hotel via 'Special Requests' stating, 'Must have balcony' and received an affirmative reply. Needless to say when we inspected the room allocated to us by reception there was no balcony. When I complained to the receptionist she initially said I would have to pay extra for a room with a balcony. After I persisted and insisted that I had, in fact, made a special request for a room with a balcony she eventually allocated us a room with - guess what - a balcony. As the hotel's bar didn't open to 11.00 and the nearest cafe was a walk away, tea/coffee making faci;ities in the room would have been appreciated.

Perfect location in the middle of old town of Cuenca, It was a short walk to everything. Elevator to room Breakfast was reasonable amount for money, with a lot of options to keep us happy. Paid parking directly across from the hotel but don't waste your money - drive 300 metres up the hill through the castle gate and there will be plenty of free parking as well as beautiful mirador. Shower had excellent pressure.

Room was very hot and there was no way of opening the window.

Great location within walking distance of the most important sights of the old city. It is 7km from the railway station and the buses are not that frequent but there is a flat rate taxi for 12. Euros to go to the train station.

I asked for a quiet room but I was right above the road where buses and cars traveled a lot. I had to shut out the noise with window and shutters and open about 3am for fresh air. There is air conditioning for those who like it.

The view from the room overlooking the parador was spectacular. Car park two minutes away. Old town 2 minutes walk away from hanging houses, plaza mayor cathedral, Best of all attached to a Michelin star restaurant Raff San Pedro, best Michelin chef ever, Excellent breakfast, fresh fruit and cooked. Bar in the hotel was great to chill out after a long day. Jacuzzi too in the bathroom. Nice and quiet.

Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.

This hotel is in a stunning location, at about 1000m, on the high, narrow ridge between the deep valleys of the Huécar and the Rio Júcar. This part of Cuenca is a UNESCO World Heritage site - "an exceptional example of the medieval fortress town that has preserved its original townscape remarkably intact along with many excellent examples of religious and secular architecture from the 12th to the 18th centuries". The buildings, walks and views are absolutely outstanding, although some require a head for heights! There are restaurants, bars and tapas bars all around, so lots of choices for eating out and the hotel's own restaurant has a good reputation - we didn't try it due it not having outside tables (we eat outside of in our rooms due to Covid-vulnerability) - we did have a very nice snack from the bar though, delivered to our room by friendly and understanding staff. The breakfasts were also excellent. Our lovely room looked out over the latter - probably the most stunning view we've ever had from a hotel room. The ensuite and the door were up a flight of steps from bedroom part. For some reason we didn't take pictures in the room, but pictures on here and on their own website are very accurate. There is an indoor car park just across the street 'Parking Calle San Pedro' - I think the maximum height was 2,2m (we were fine with our 2,0m VW Transporter T5 - the hotel reception desk has discount slips for when you leave. You can also park for free if you go up beyond the arch in the town wall, but it's a bit of a haul with luggage. Wholehearted recommend both Cuenca and Hotel Leonor de Aquitania - both being top highlights of our 3 months in Spain.

Perfect location for a trip in Cuenca. It’s right in the middle of the old city centre, close to all the sights and there is free parking just a 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff are extreme friendly and helpful. The price quality relation for this hotel is just unbeatable, I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms could use a little bit of a refresher but since we only slept there it was actually perfect. The beds are also very comfortable. The only negative side was that our room was on the street side and quite loud.

The staff were wonderful - they changed my room when the wifi wasn't strong enough to connect for my work and the view from the second room was astounding. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful, even when I had to work on my computer in the lobby for long stretches. Location in Cuenca's Old City was wonderful, too - very close to all fabled, historic sites

Wifi wasn't strong enough to connect to on the third floor, though I understand this may have been due to the extreme heat.

A beautiful nice central hotel in old village cuenca with separate garage parking 50m away, great old style but well maintained infrastructure (well, I bet that night's power problems were a one-time issue), free wifi included. nice rooms. Very friendly and supportive staff, even under that night's power issue stress. will come back, for sure.

weak wifi, thanks to power issues that night. no complaint or gap otherwise.
