We loved our terrace and our apartment and we understood that there was an extra charge €20 for self catering equipment. The outside shower was great to have and enabled us to enjoy a day on our terrace. The bus service from the reception is 100%… and with this the coast is your oyster… I loved the visit from the cliff cats but wouldn’t be everyone’s choice

Not negative…. A very busy/noisey/chair wars breakfast morning without a mug of tea which would have been nice!! Didn’t use the pool as looked too busy early.. The bus service info wasn’t given to us it was something we stumbled upon.. we did have a few unfortunate issues a power cut direct to our room (kettle), and keys not working after a long day out… All was rectified and a complimentary bottle of Cava for the power cut..,

Lovely apartment, pool, bar area, cafe and restaurant. Great breakfast. Quiet and peaceful location. Reception staff excellent, friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Pool bar staff very good too. Bed very comfortable.

No window in bathroom, or extractor. No cups in kitchen for teas and coffees . No shop onsite or even nearby. Dinner not so good in evening, not much choice for vegetarians and nothing properly labelled. Bus service outside hotel not very reliable. Had to keep getting taxis everywhere, which proved quite expensive. Hotel location a bit isolated, not near shops or beaches. Could do with a small grocery shop on site. You need a car to stay here really. No where to go for a walk nearby either, no coastal footpaths.

The location is awesome and the pool is great. You can enjoy some drinks in the pool bar or even take your own groceries and enjoy them in your own room/terrace because you hace a kitchen with a hotel fridge. The free parking was great too. The stuff was very nice. The breakfast was an awesome buffet, one of the best I have ever had.

The slopes are very tiring which makes you think twice whether to go back to the room if you forgot something or just leaving the hotel. They ride you to your room the first time in a golf cart but the rest of your stay you move on your own. The cutlery was not in the kitchen and needs to be order with a cost of 20€ per day, which to me seems unfair and excessive.

Beautiful location, very helpful staff breakfast was amazing, both restaurants on site did amazing food and it was very reasonable, stunning little village with heaps of personality. We would definitely recommend it and go back.

The only thing we didn’t like is that there wasn’t a kettle, cups or cutlery, being a self catering apartment. But on a massive plus there was a good washing machine.

Beautiful resort with beautiful views. The rooms were big and clean. The food at the restaurant was like lovely at lunch time and the Spanish and Italian restaurant where also great. The pool was a little cold but that was okay as we came in April. Didn't stop us from going in and enjoying it.

The breakfast was cold no matter what time you arrived. We have pre booked a taxi to the airport at the reception and even tho we got confirmation the taxi was never booked. We also asked for someone to help with bags as we was very far from the reception and no one came.

I loved the layout of the hotel, it was very unique and quaint. I booked an apartment. The kitchen was just OK, a bit tired and would benefit from revamp. Had to hire the cups, plates, pans etc. for the kitchen which I felt was unnecessary. Why have a kitchen if you aren't provided with utensils. Had breakfast and dinner and food was very good. The location is hard to reach, a bus comes every hour but can be difficult to get the times right, we found ourselves waiting at bus stops for long periods. We landed by train from Alicante and the station was a good distance from the hotel. No transfer, rang hotel and no taxi could be booked and we just had to sit and wait about 40 minutes hoping a bus would come which it eventually did. Had to book taxi from hotel back to airport at 50 euro.

No free utensils for kitchen. kitchen needed update. no transport could be provided on arrival from train station.

We loved the pool and area to relax and catch the sun.

There was no cutlery, plates, not even any facilities to make yourself tea or coffee in the room. I found out later that I could pay 20 euro to have a few things brought to my room. At the very least this should be made clear when booking the room.

Great location and easily accessible. The apartments were roomy and perfect for our stay. The reception staff were also quite helpful and gave great recommendations on beaches to visit.

Parking is not free as advertised, if you want to park inside the hotel, which is safer and accessible, you have to pay per night. It’s not easy to know what amenities are available and how to access them. What makes it even harder was language barrier with staff on ground. The pool is also quite small and gets packed quickly with children staying at the location. (Hard to imagine how comfortable the pool would be if the location is full).

Probably the most beautiful resort I’ve ever stayed in, set out like a colourful, little village. We had a superior suite at the top of the property and despite having no sea view we had two little balconies with views to the mountains and down the pretty street and it felt really private. The room was amazing - so much space for my niece and I, spotlessly clean, and really comfortable beds. The air con was efficient and black out curtains and shutters meant a great sleep. Great shower. Really good breakfast buffet with plenty of hot, cold, sweet and savoury items. You can sit in or outside to eat. We didn’t eat at lunch or dinner as were out and about in the car but there were two restaurants right by the hotel (one Spanish, one Chinese) as well as its own restaurant and poolside bar. Nearby Villajoyosa is beautiful and has some lovely restaurants - Som de Mar on the sea front in nearby Villajoyosa was fabulous for sharing plates of seafood or a paella. Friendly, courteous staff throughout the resort. Definitely recommend hiring a car and using it as a base to explore (it’s only a few minutes off the main road from Alicante so great for exploring that stretch of the coast). I’m sure it’s lovely as base for those who prefer to just stay on resort all week too.

Nothing. Although if you’re not the sort of person who wants to be away from the main resorts this isn’t for you as there’s nothing within walking distance except houses and the 2 restaurants next door.

The room had a sea view which was lovely. However the room needs a complete update, it looked unkept and . very worn out with the fixtures and fittings. We were very disappointed. We moved rooms as I wanted to stay an extra night. This room had a pool view and was totally improved. Very nice and well kept . A vast difference. The staff are lovely ,the breakfast is good. Beautiful hidden gem. But I have to say I will never ask for a sea view again , I would have complained but it was a short break to see my family from the UK. We will return as I live in Castalla.
