We stayed for two nights. The hotel is in a great spot just a couple of minutes walk from the train station,room a good size and very clean and warm. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant both nights food was was excellent. There’s a couple of bars within walking distance where we also had breakfast and a small local shop for supplies. Many walks from the village ehich were breathtaking even in our wet weather.

Nothing! Maybe the use of a drying room would be good after walking in the poor weather.

The roads too and from are something else from a motorbike riders perspective as we were. Not for the faint hearted and the scenery is stunning. Meals at the hotel were good. Village is very quiet.

No staff members spoke eny English no real problem the translation on the phone and hand signals worked well. This really is not a criticism I can't speak Spanish and it is out in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel was in a very nice location, surrounded by trees. Decor was nice and well maintained as was the room. I rang when I arrived and the owner met me a couple of minutes later. Enjoyed a beer on the terrace later and after speaking to another couple of people staying there it sounds like the food was very good too.

Nothing really, plumbing a little noisy, in my room I could hear water hammer in the ceiling several times in the night.

something that the hotel cannot do anything about! Mountain roads. the weekend we were there it was also the local festival and there was a diversion. the directions to get to the hotel were not good and we only got there because a local helped us by following him. However, once we got there it was great and the festival was brilliant. Very welcoming village

The hotel was excellent and food superb, the garden was well kept and pool well maintained. Parking on site was a bonus. Had a lovely quiet weekend away, shall be returning.

The shower area in the room very small as the bidet was situated within that area, difficult to move and benefit from the shower.

El Colmenar is a very quiet village surrounded by wonderful nature and mountains. The food in the restaurant was exceptionally delicious! Riom was simple but very clean.

The pool was not in operation, a disappointment for our children. This info should be updated on booking.com

This place was a pot of gold at the end of a long, hard and very rainy walking day. We were greeted with much kindness and a great heater in the room. Comfortable, cozy and clean. Who wants anymore at the end of the day. We had a nice meal in the restaurant below which satisfied our hiker hunger. Thank you lady of the house for your kindness.

Very clean room with crip sheets and a bathroom with shampoo and soap. The staff was very sweet, they even made me breakfast while the buffet wasn’t open. The garden is beautiful!

The food in the restaurant wasn’t very good, too much salt and a bit dry for my taste. Maybe I choose wrong. I was very happy that the restaurant was open though!

Tranquil location near the main village with its bars, shops, and restaurants, perfect for some day hikes. Spacious and comfortable room. The staff was very kind and helpful.

I may be nitpicking here, but after a long day of hikingin January, I was looking forward to a nice hot bath, but there was no bath plug, and I had to improvise.
