I booked a private room here whilst walking the camino primitivo. Extremely convenient location, right on the trail. Staff member who checked me in did not speak much english but he was very sweet and polite. My room was very big and so impreccably clean. The pillows were so soft and comfortable and the sheets so crisp and fresh. Shower gel, a toothbrush and toothpaste were included. The cleaning was first class as the room and the bathroom was spotless and felt luxurious to use. The air con unit worked well and was able to provide cool air or heat when i needed it to! There is a shared kitchen on ground level if you would like to make any hot drinks or cook food to eat. It was an absolute treat for me to stay here, this ranks as one of the best places for an ensuite room that i have stayed at on the camino primitivo.

I couldnt find the outdoor fire pit

Refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. We stayed for 6 nights in a private room which was better than many hotels we have stayed in. It was immaculate, sheets and towels were replaced every day, and the room and en suite bathroom cleaned. We cooked and ate in the communal kitchen, which was great as we were able to chat with other guests. The kitchen was clean, there was plenty of space to cook and eat. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

There was only one washing machine which was in high demand.

I think I was unlucky. I was in the cramped ground floor bunk room in the middle bunk right in front of the door. The door was constantly being opened all night with the outside light shining straight at my face. It was a rainy evening and a late arrival (just before 10p.m.) ended up in the bunk above me. He draped all his wet smelly clothes on the sides of his bunk so that they were dangling around me. It was the worst nights sleep out of 28 nights in Hostels.

This is a nice, new albergue located right on the Camino de Santiago, which makes it very convenient for pilgrims. They have a spacious kitchen and there’s a large grocery store nearby.

The only downside was that the women’s bathroom was quite small, and there were no towel hooks or handles inside the shower cabin—only outside, and quite far from the cabin.

Beautifully restored historic property. I had a private room that was modern and with all kinds of touches. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Put some hooks in the shower stalls and bathrooms for God’s sake (I always make this comment on albergue reviews—why? Are they that expensive?)

Loved the friendly staff and the facilities both the kitchen and laundry were great and we had a female dorm room with 4 bunk beds, so got a great nights sleep. We also had a top AND bottom sheet and a large fluffy white towel! You enjoy the small details when you are a pilgrim.

Perfect stay! Good wi-fi, clean room, hot shower, great water pressure, comfortable beds, plenty of space, and such warm & friendly staff! I'm very grateful to them. Immediately booked again for my next trip with a family member :)

The space between the bottom bunk and the top bunk was less than expected so you have to be careful about hitting your head. However the top bunk was easier than most to get into. The private rooms were super and the washing facilities very good

The downstairs bathroom was tiny with only 2 toilets and 2 showers for both dormitories.

The owners have obviously understood the needs of the travelers who come here. The property has installed everything a traveler could want. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful in giving or finding out information!

Modern, fresh, clean and quiet. A very welcoming gentleman was working at reception who was very friendly. Really nice place to rest for the night in A Fonsagrada on the Camino Primitivo.
