Fantastic location on the cliff and on the path down to the beach. Breakfast is a bit oddly presented, but fantastic quality

We booked a sea room view but there were people walking by that would look into our room, which was annoying. One of the night wat hets blatently zdmitted to feeding wild boar next to the property with the cafetaria leftovers. We had a family of 5 we got confronted with, after midnight. Sounds cute, but its really dangerous to encounter mothers and kids.

We were upgraded to a fantastic room, newly refurbished (room 10), which was spacious and with amazing views out to sea and along the coast. Breakfast was a generous buffet, with all the ingredients cooked on site. Note that 1) the hotel do not provide evening meals and 2) there is no easy way down to the beach (it's a 25-min walk along the cliff-path). (Not a criticism of the hotel, as they do not claim otherwise, but be aware!)

One of the wifi routers was out of action during our stay, so there was no wifi in our room. The cafeteria shuts quite early.

As expected, the hotel was rather isolated but as it was located on a cliff top, surrounded on three sides by the sea, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, we couldn't fault it for location. Warm welcome by staff who spoke good English. View from the very comfortable and well appointed room was exceptional. Simple, delicious food and well stocked bar.

Having to leave after only one night.

We booked our stay at La Colina the same day we checked in. We didn't know what to expect, and to say the staff and the hotel accommodations blew our mind is an understatement. We were fortunate enough to book their larger room with windows looking at the ocean from two walls of the room. My wife and I could not believe how beautiful the views were and pretty much immediately decided to book a second night as soon as we stepped into the hotel. This is truly a place that will take your breath away. In addition to the incredible location, the staff at this hotel are what pushed this place over the top for us. It is a small operation because it's a small boutique hotel, and many of the employees wear multiple hats onsite. But you wouldn't know they are hustling as much as they are because everyone has time to answer your questions, help get you directions to tourist sightseeing adventures, all while they are also helping to turn out delicious breakfasts and tapas dinners. We had such a great time talking with the friendly staff and honestly when we go visit again in the future it is because we want to revisit with the employees at La Colina as much as we want to stay in that room with the beautiful views! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable!

There is absolutely everything to like here.

Everything. It was one of the most beautiful coastlines of Spain. The beds were comfy, the shower and bath wonderful and the staff so kind. They run a cafeteria as well and the food was great. Felt like we were getting home cooked meals. Alucia was incredibly helpful with directions to Gijon and where the best sites and typical food would be. We loved it and would come back again if ever in this part of the world.

The views, the location is something hard to beat. The staff was amazing, we travel the world but the customer service is something we haven’t seen for long time. It feels like coming home. Home made food, top service and views that you can’t get tired of. We are returning customers and will surely come back again.

Wonderful relaxing gem of a hotel, with spectacular views of the Spanish coastline. Lovely, comfortable and clean corner room with views of pastoral landscape and the sea. Welcoming, friendly staff. We highly recommend this hotel. We rented a car from Bilbao and the drive was easy and uncomplicated.

Everything was great!

The location of this property is everything. It is literally above the ocean and the views are breathtaking.

I expected a swankier property. It was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. They didn't seem to have enough staff. Rooms are small and the bottom level ocean view has an obstructed view of the ocean. Location was close enough to Gijon by car.

The hotel was perfect. Everything is kept in perfect condition. Isabel and the staff were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were treated with top-notch service. The location was great, close enough to town, but away from the crowds. We loved the views from every window. Everything was perfect! If we could rate it a 12, we would. Loved it!

Absolutely nothing

The service from this independent family run hotel is simply excellent. Room was spotlessly clean and with a view (room 8) which is just incredible - the location has to be one of the best in Asturias. Great snacking menu throughout the day and into the evening - (breakfasts - whatever you wanted is provided).

Nothing - this place is a gem.
