The location is excellent, right near the old town and a 10 min walk from the train station. It was pretty much exactly what I expected for a single room. It wasn’t huge but there was definitely enough room for me and my suitcase. It was clean and the air conditioning was already on in the room when I arrived (appreciated as it was around 30’C during my stay)

All minor issues. As I’ve seen other reviews mention, the only plug was across the room from the bed so not the best for charging a phone overnight while also using it for an alarm. The air conditioning did fail one evening and they weren’t able to get it fixed until the morning but it was on again shortly after the start of regular business hours. The sound proofing between the rooms seemed really good, but I could hear hallway noise pretty clearly when others would come and go (but no worse than other places I’ve been).

We had a junior suite which was large and comfortable. It included all the facilities you would need. Location was perfect for short walk across one of many bridges to old town. Japanese restaurant next door with healthy and reasonably priced meals. Plenty of eating options in Plaza de la Independencia 5 mins walk away or in old town across river. All the key sites within easy walking distance of hotel. All staff very helpful. No noise at night from within or outside. A modern hotel and good value for money

Insufficient rails to hang towels in bathroom. We found this to be irritating (but unfortunately it’s common in many Spanish hotels). Inexpensive to fix.

The location, so near to shops,restaurants and everything there was to see. An easy walk from bus/train station. The very comfortable bed and pillows. The beautiful body lotion. Hotels provide shampoo and shower gel and don't give body lotion, but Peninsular did and it was very good quality. The chap at front desk when we arrived late and obliged us by getting us a lovely cup of coffee. Thank you. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast We would recommend this Hotel and be very happy to return.

Drinking water was not replaced in bedroom.. it's just you could forget to pick a bottle up on way back to Hotel after being out.

This was our first stay in Girona. There is a lot to like about this property: 1. Location - literally steps away from the historic center, over the small bridge 2. We got a larger room on the 5th floor, had everything we needed. 3. The bed linens, the mattress, the shower were all great 4. The staff is very attentive 5. There is a dedicated space to park your car to unload/load.

It really is not a complaint about the property - they have an arrangement with a parking garage, that requires split payment between the hotel for overnight parking and the day rate of 10 euros that you must pay in cash at the garage. Well, the garage is perfectly happy to take a card payment for non discounted use. In my case we simply stopped using cash looong time ago and were not able to withdraw the day we had to exit. After much negotiations, you guessed it, they took the card payment for the reduced rate.

The hotel was very well located, less than a mile from the train station, and within a short walk of almost everywhere we wanted to go in Girona. The room was comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. We were in Girona during the blackout in Spain, and the hotel maintained power and internet despite the entire country losing power. I liked that our room had a tub, which seems rare in European hotels.

I had a really good stay here, I thought the breakfast was good, the staff was professional, it was very easy for us as bike tourists to keep our bikes in their garage (and not have to take them to our rooms or get rooms dirty). The location was excellent, walkable to everything in Girona old town. The beds were comfortable. There was a small fridge and a coffee/tea station in the room. The shower water pressure was amazing.

The rooms that face the street are very loud at night.

The staff at the front desk provided very helpful information about the parking, let me check in early since the room was ready, and overall were exceptional. The location is perfect for walking to the historic core - 2minutes away - and there are many good restaurants close by. Room and bathroom were pristine. I think this added up to great value for my stay.

I heard the plumbing from other rooms overnight. It actually woke me up. I don't know if there was a problem causing the noise - sounded like flushing and faucets being used - but it was disturbing. Also I would have liked a larger towel for the shower. The one provided was more like a hand towel. Luckily I am petite, but can't imagine how a taller/broader person would fare.

Location, very helpful reception staff, generally clean and definitely served the purpose for our last minute need for accommodation

Rubbish was not cleared from the room on one occasion, empty wine bottle and cups. 1 Cafe bar staff showed little interest in our enquiry and seemed in a hurry to end any questions as we did not what to sit and order anything at that time but was enquiring regarding a later visit.

The hotel is in the perfect location, everything in Girona centre is within a 10 minute walk. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very big with everything you could need. The staff were very friendly, helpful and were on the desk 24/7. I would stay again.

The air-con was very loud and the walls are quite thin so you can hear other people bang their doors.

The Peninsular was exceptionally well cared for and clean. It was located close to the river and the older tourist area. There are lots of restaurants closeby . The staff were always very helpful and able to speak English. The Peninsular has a historical life worth reading.

Parking was off side and somewhere cumbersome. Pay $8. At the hotel and the balance to the offsite facility.
