Good location looking out to sea. Excellent pool and surrounding gardens. Pleasant poolside bar for drinks and snacks. Good bed and bathroom facilities. Very clean.

Problem with the drains, so bad smell not just in our room but in corridor outside. Dinner a little disappointing: beef fillet not very tasty and chips were undercooked. Duck a bit tough. Beefburger, I thought, was bought in. Previously we have not had to pay for parking. Probably because the Parador is miles from anywhere and there's lots of space. I don't mind paying in city paradores where space is scarce and the car has to be garaged. I suggest if the Parador needs to boost its income (which is fair enough) a better solution would be to increase the room prices: charging for parking in the middle of the country at Mazagón seems a petty way of going about it.

The Parador is in a lovely place, right next to the sea, and set in beautiful grounds, with a pool. There's plenty of parking. The rooms were lovely - more traditional than ultra-modern. The bathroom was big, and well-appointed. There was a lot of choice in the breakfast buffet and you could order eggs too. They even had some gluten free products. We ate in the restaurant, which was really nice and not too expensive. We all had a great time there and will definitely come again.

The bed was a bit hard. It would benefit from a topper of some sort to make it softer.

Beach location — fantastic sunsets. Many steps to and from the beach but there is also a road to take if you have a car. Fantastic breakfasts! A beautiful property lovingly maintained. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would love to return without hesitation.

We had spotty internet. Unclear if the fault of the property or the internet provider. It was off more than half the time during our weeklong stay. The only negative.

The Parador is beautifully situated by the Atlantic coast, within easy driving distance of the Coto Doñana National and Natural Parks and excellent places to watch birds and other wildlife around Huelva. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, including balconies for sitting out. Their breakfast buffet has a very good selection of items, including eggs freshly cooked to order. A cafeteria is available in the evening as an alternative to the main restaurant.

Visiting in mid-March, it felt as though the hotel was only ‘ticking over’ and getting ready for Easter. The outdoor swimming pool was not available for most of the time we were there because of maintenance. There is a 10 euro per day charge for using the Parador car park, but the neighbouring Mazagon beach car park was free. It’s worth noting that even in March there were hungry mosquitos around in the evening. Protection recommended!

Beautiful position overlooking the Atlantic from outdoor lounge area. Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Interesting art works throughout the hotel and stylish decor. Food good.

Restaurant service was chaotic! Staff were willing but had no direction or training. Cafeteria completely different with calm atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff. Why do we have to pay extra to use the hotel car park? It’s not as though space is at a premium! Shower fixings in bathroom loose.

Spacious comfortable room with beautiful views out to sea. Well maintained garden and just a short walk to the beach down the wooden stairs. The spacious room with balcony and views were so good we decided to stay on an extra day.

The breakfast was mediocre with limited choice. Compared to the breakfasts at the other (cheaper) hotels we stayed at, breakfast at this Parador was far from acceptable and not good value at €21 per person.

Very spacious accommodation with fantastic view. Good access to a stunning beach. Great birdlife. Good breakfast options and bar and restaurant menu - food was good.

Local attractions, trips etc were not at all well displayed and did not find reception well informed in this regards.

We stayed at the hotel in late November. The settings were great with awesome sunsets. The room was comfy, heated and airy. Dinner was tasty (not always the case in Paradores). The surroundings are extremely different. National park to one side, heavy industry on the other side.

It's a bit of a shame, that the parking must be paid separately when staying in the hotel.

Beautifully maintained parador. Friendly staff. Outstanding beachside location. Excellent breakfast. Would love to return!

Superb and tranquil location, ideal if you’ve visited the national park in the morning. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Mercedes, at check in, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful hotel and we will certainly look to book other Paradors for our next trip to Spain. The food in the restaurant was amazing and we think that our stay, given the quality of the amenities, represented excellent value for money.

Having to leave
