We stayed half board, because it was out of season and wasnt sure what other eateries may be available. Or our plans while staying. Breakfast was standard spanish tostada. Bit hit n miss with translation, but i had cheese and ham, hubby had tomate and cheese, it made a good basis to start day there was coffee and fresh orange included too. The evening meal was filling, there was choice of starters main desserts and a drink included. portions were ample. mains were bit confusing in translation. three dishes came with chips but the two fish dishes were a plate of mixed fish, and we assume the eggs were just eggs. portions were ample. and we only had dessert one day out of three. staff were very friendly and helpful. its a popular place and busy but not noisy. only short walk to sea front,

Nothing was bad

Very nice to have a receptionist check me in, rather than an impersonal lockbox. Secure parking for my motorbike too. Single room was very clean, and although not the largest, had ample room to put all my biking gear. Bathroom was clean and the shower good. The rooms very good heating system was most welcome. As this is near the hotel, the restaurants and bars nearby were all all closed for the off season. But not to worry, the hotel has restaurant was open, and was very bust at 8.30 pm. They offered a Menu del Noche, which was varied and well cooked. Breakfast was included, and was a great start to the day. The price for my room and breakfast was excellent value, and I will be back again in February. Highly recommended.

Clean and comfortable hotel. I particularly liked the fact they had insect screens on the windows. Hotel is easy to get to from Motril bus Station. Just take the bus that is going to Motril playa and ask for the hotel. The bus stops right outside the main door. Takes about 15 minutes? The breakfast was typical Spanish breakfast: coffee and toast and orange squash. Absolutely the best thing about this hotel was the staff! So pleasant and attentive and efficient. I would stay again.

It's a simple old-style hotel, nothing special but very affordable. Perfectly acceptable for a brief stay in a basic room. The staff were friendly, the breakfast (included) was good, the proximity to the beach was excellent.

The hotel is very dated and the decor in the room needs updating/redecorating. The hotel is not easily accessible from the centre of Motril by public transport.

Very clean. Great local breakfast downstairs. The bathroom was quite modern with good heat and pressure. We arrived at 3am and the night porter was very friendly and professional.

Some language issues at breakfast but once they realized it was very easy and a good start to the day.

Good clean accommodation at reasonable cost. My room was well equipped for the price and my bed was very comfortable. The hotel also had a buzzing cafe & restaurant downstairs which provided an excellent breakfast and good free tapas with the beer.

The property met and exceeded all of my expectations at the price. I enjoyed my stay.

The shower space is roomy. There are mosquito nets over the windows so you can get fresh air in without pests. The bed was comfortable and wifi fast enough. The breakfast was nice and serve quickly.

Can be noisy early in the morning as the locals gather around the hotel bar.

Staff very friendly & helpful. Good bar & restaurant. Only a minutes walk from the beach. Large parking area.

Hotel Estrella del Mar was amazing. The restaurant had great food and a lively atmosphere. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. I loved that the staff worked at the restaurant, did different jobs in the hotel making one feel like part of a family.

The hotel is well located, the room was very clean and spacious, with a generous WC and shower room. We had a big terrace. The staff is very nice. There is a traditional lively Spanish restaurant in the hotel.

The bed and the pillow could have been more comfortable, but this is of course very personal.
