Friendly staff and nice big rooms. Lovely roof terrace. Some rooms are more quiet than others. Good location close to beach and shops. Good secure car parking too. We didn't try the bar or restaurant but it looked good. The air conditioning in the bedroom is excellent.

Beds a bit on the soft side.We stayed in a different room the next week to try out a different type of bed. We prefer the one mattress rather than two together with a mattress topper - not conducive to romance at all. The biggest let down was the WiFi. We could not get a connection in either of the rooms we stayed in. None of our devices could connect. The TV in the bedroom was not connected to the WiFi either which is rather a pity. If we come back again for a longer stay we would need to get a movistar 4G Wifi dongle or similar.

All members of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet style breakfast was good and the option of a freshly made omelette was nice. The beautifully laid out terrace was a big bonus and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in an early October evening.

Room Facilities: It would have been nice if the mini bar had been switched on and contained basics like bottled water. Milk to use in tea would also have been welcome rather than powdered ‘creamer’

It exceeds expectations, the inside is a lot better that it looks on the outside.The staff were super friendly and helpful, the location is great for both the beach and an uphill walk to the castle. The bedroom was very comfortable with big bed and very clean bathroom. The hotel gave us bathrobes to be extra comfortable! I recommend it for anybody considering Salobrena. Bonus is free parking.

Tiny jacuzzi on roof terrace but you don’t need it when the beach is six minutes walk away.

I had a single-room and I appreciated a big comfortable bed and really spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The staff was very nice and friendly, language wasn't much of a barrier, communication still worked out well. The breakfast was good, a little of everything, it's served 8 am to 10:30am. It's about 15 - 20 min walk to the bus station, 20-25 min walk to the castle, and ca. 10-12 min walk to the beach. The huge supermarkets Carrefour and Dia are 2 min away.

Really nice hotel, room was nothing spectacular but clean and comfortable. We had an incredible view of the sunrise from our bed. Terrace at the top was really fantastic, was just a shame it shut in the evening, an hour earlier than it says on the print out in the room. Super close walk to the beach and the old town. Staff helpful and friendly.

Check in was very quick and the receptionist was very helpful. The room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good with the nice addition of having a freshly cooked omelette if you wanted it. The jacuzzi on the roof terrace was excellent.

It would be nice if they had a swimming pool, but it didn't put us off staying there.

Beautiful classic interior and furniture. Good access to the town, castle and hill, and the beach front “strip”. Nice staff. Nice rooftop area with covered seating, sun loungers, covered jacuzzi.

May be noisy if other guests are loud. We were tired and out of season so didn’t have issues, but doors/walls seemed “thin” for sound. We didn’t find the “Bossh” group branding and emails reassuring or helpful. But no need to be put off by them: it’s a normal hotel. Game tables on the roof could be free, not 2-3€ a game.

Only stayed one night in hotel Avenida Tropical but had a wonderful stay, everything was exceptional Staff, cleanliness, breakfast,location,comfy beds and spotless room, the staff were friendly and helpful very professional. If we ever return to Salobrina we would not hesitate to stay at this perfect hotel.

Nothing to dislike

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The rooms were great , large , seemed newly decorated, very clean and very comfortable. Free secure parking was an absolute bonus .
