Great location, tastefully decorate and well equiped rooms. Very helpful staff and parking on site was a bonus. Pool area lovely.

The pool area was lovely but we noticed people were ‘claiming’ chairs from early in the morning by putting items on them even when they were not in the pool area. Some signage encouraging reasonable shared use might help.

Centrally located, exceptionally clean, nice views from the balcony and rooftop terrace, and the pool area was a great spot to hang out and relax.

I arrived after hours and had to enter a passcode where you would normally swipe a key card to enter. It took me some time to figure it out as it’s not very obvious that there are numbers on the pad. Maybe some additional instructions for late check-ins could be helpful for others in the future!

We've been coming to Nerja for over 30 years and always looking for new places to stay. We were recommended by some friends. Liked everything about the property. If I was being picky the sunbathing area was in shade after 5pm!! I have previously thought that that end of town was a bit out of the way, but our recent stay has really changed our minds.

Loved everything about our stay. From the time we checked in it was brilliant. The staff were just so nice and helpful. Especially Paco he is just so helpful and has great English which is a bonus. What can I say as we travel a lot now I've gotten to know a lot about what to expect. This hotel is absolutely perfect. Location on the street but very quiet at night. Can't say enough about the cleanliness the bedding was so fresh as were the towels. Housekeeping every day. The double bed was extra wide. 💯 Thanks again Paco and staff. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely nothing.

Our second visit to VG and once again it didn’t disappoint, a lovely welcome from Paco on reception and we were swiftly booked in and given our room keys. Everything about this place is fabulous, the rooms are big and airy, all areas of the hotel are spotless (they are constantly cleaning!) its centrally based so great to access all the great restaurants and bars. The pool area is lovely and quiet, a great place to catch some rays and has a lovely pool (though it is a little chilly) Great value for money too, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else now we have found this place !

What’s not to like

We loved the hotel! The location was just perfect, everything you could possibly need is just a short walk away - restaurants, bars, grocery store, bus station, beach. Even with such a central loction, the hotel was super quiet, no road noise and you could hardly hear anyone else. The room is clean and cozy, as well as the common rooms. For us, the bed was the best thing - super comfortable and wide. We had the room with the terrace, such a great choice since you have a quick access to the sunbeds and the pool, which is not heated but perfect for a refreshing swim! Last but not least, the staff is amazingly helpful. They also offer beach towels and umbrella for a sunny day at the beach. We are definitely coming back and will recommend to anyone who plans a holiday in Nerja!

The property was well-designed & we really liked the decoration, the use of soothing colours. The roof top terrace proved to be the perfect place to have a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down. The staff are one of the hotel’s greatest assets, they were genuine, helpful & tried to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A big ‘thank you’ to each & every one of them!

Only a very small matter was that the - I think - pool/terrace lights ( they might even have been the terrace lights of the hotel opposite)were not turned out until very late meaning some light was seen around the edges of our blackout curtain. It was noticeable but not something to worry too much about

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who always greeted us with a smile and inquired whether everything was to our liking. The room as well as the pool area are well equipped, but what really stood out to us was the overall cleanliness of the room as well as all the other facilities. The cleaning staff really go above and beyond and also are very friendly and helpful. While the location of the Hostal is close to the busy streets of the city and not too far from the beaches, it is still somewhat secluded so that you can also enjoy your peace and quiet in the pool area, your terrace or the wonderful roof terrace.

Spotless room and bathroom. Nice roomy shower. Mini-fridge in room for cooling beverages/breakfast snacks. Coffee machine with a few pods allowing you to have a morning coffee in your room. Small balcony which you can stand on and drink your coffee. Incredibly friendly staff with excellent recommendations. The ability to leave luggage for a few hours with the staff and feel complete peace of mind as the building is secure and the staff are so professional. There is a pool but it is not heated - we came in December so didn't try it, but it's lovely that it's open year-round for customers to use. The staff encouraged us to go onto the roof terrace which is open to all guests, and we went there to enjoy a cold beverage while looking at the sunset over Nerja and the surrounding mountains. Overall this is a really pleasant classy hotel stay for a very affordable price, and I would recommend it to any travellers going to Nerja.

Right in the heart of the old town, perfect situation. Only 18 months old renovation so very new, incredibly clean and fantastic rooms. The pool and area are so clean and quiet. Perfect for relaxing. All of the staff including Paco, Raquel and Veronica plus cleaning staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. They gave me lots of helpful information and superb restaurant and cafe recommendations, all were well priced with delicious food. So friendly and genuinely happy to help you. The rooms were so quiet, I got the best night sleeps there. Air con perfect, very comfortable beds, every day clean towels and room made up. The solarium in the roof top was fantastic, beautiful views and so peaceful. The moment I arrived I felt my shoulders relax. The best sun holiday in Europe I’ve ever had. I have been a solo traveler for over 38 years and will definitely return to this immaculate hotel. Thank you so much for such a relaxing and welcoming stay.
