This hotel offers excellent value for money, especially given its prime central location in Ourense, making it ideal for exploring the city. The rooms are spacious, and cleanliness is a standout—everything was impeccably maintained. The breakfast was a highlight, with a wide and tasty selection of items to start the day right!

The service staff could significantly improve. Their unfriendly demeanor detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay—a bit more warmth or professionalism would elevate the experience.

Centrally located room had high ceilings which made it feel larger. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Soap towels and dental kits provided. A mini fridge to store water and drinks was available free of charge. There was a cafe just outside the hotel which was convenient for morning and afternoon coffee and relaxing.

The front desk attendant, Cristina was rude and not helpful at all. She had a bad attitude and made us feel worthless and awkward. Spoke to us like we were stupid. Probably would choose another hotel because of this. They charged us 6euros to check out 45 minutes later. It’s not expensive but after what we paid, they could have let it go.

Location is excellent. Room is typical of the Barcelo brand with a comfortable room with amenities on the 18th floor. Bed was comfortable and quiet.

States as having parking but it is SMALL and were told it was full when we arrived. Turned out 2 spaces were available but the parking is so small, one could only fit a Smart Car and the other needed 6 maneuvers to park my subcompact rental (Focus). Additionally charge is 18€ a night.

Situated one end of the central area, it was easy to get to and park. Walking through to the old town took only a few minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a well equipped gym and sauna that were free to use. All the public areas were well presented, and the breakfast was first class. The room was very large with excellent, powerful shower.

Some of the fixtures around the spa bath and sink are not of sufficient quality and are beginning to break down. Some of the paint is blistering, and some of the laminate flooring is beginning to peel at the edges, and a couple of the lights didn't work. It's not quite bad enough to complain about yet, but it won't be too long.

Beds were AMAZING. all hotels would get better ratings if they all had beds like this - large, comfy, great sheets and lots of pillows! Rooms had everything you need, big tv, coffee & tea, mini bar, good bathroom and clean with enough space for everything. Good location too, cafe in front of the hotel and restaurants / supermarket all within 10 min walk

The size of the room, the decor, the shower and the cleanliness of the Barcelo Ourense was wonderful. Also a great location walking g distance to restaurants, shops, bars & Old Town. Also the gym was well appointed. Which we always appreciate.

We wish that there were exercise/yoga mats in the gym for stretching and yoga. That would be a welcomed addition.

The location of the hotel was excellent, the room in the upper floor as I requested was nice, the beds were comfortable, and I lkie the lobby.

The ventilation in the bathroom was not working, the bathroom in the lobby was not very clean, the parking's price was a bit high and it would be nice to enter the room before 15:00.

Room very comfortable and spacious, great view; wifi was perfect, air conditioning good! Really good value for money and comfortable; breakfast was also great.

The hotel is very well located so almost everything including best reataurants and even the Termas are just a short walk away. Staff was incredible friendly.It was my birthday and I guess they likely figure that out through my passport.Next thing I know is that they came to my room with a small cake and a candle .Priceless

- Bad smell of water came out of bath tub - water is free, but only the first night. We expected they will refill the refrigerator with two bottles of water. Wrong assumption. So we ended up very thirsty.
