I highly recommend Arrels d'Emporda! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, featuring a large terrace to relax on. The hotel is modern, with cozy beds and sofas. It’s a quiet place, perfect for resting, and the pool is great for cooling off on warm days. The location is excellent—close to beaches and supermarkets—making it ideal for exploring the Costa Brava. Plus, there’s free street parking, which is very convenient.

We found the staff’s friendliness lacking, particularly during the night shift. Unfortunately, they seemed quite unwelcoming. We waited nearly 15 minutes for someone to unlock the door for us, which was locked. Improving this aspect could significantly enhance the overall guest experience, and I believe the management team should address it.

We came to Palafrugell after my father passed and we had to complete some legal papers. During a really difficult time, we were so grateful for the incredible kindness of the staff at this place. They helped us with everything concerning the apartment/hotel and beyond. They offered an upgraded room as it was a quieter time and not full, which helped with my mother's mobility needs even more. The stay was impeccably clean, had very easy and safe underground parking as well as a lovely cafe/ restaurant downstairs for breakfast or just a bite to eat. This was also clearly a local favourite as it was almost full when we had a coffee there. The location is absolutely perfect, so easy to get to, right next to the bus station (this was going to be our original way to get there) and a very brief walk into town to all the nice restaurants. Thank you again for making our trip seamless. My mother has begged us to go back so we will be back soon.

Nice bathroom, good size and easy to use shower options. Comfortable beds. The staff were always friendly and very helpful. The room cleaning staff were lovely and always checked if we needed anything. The pool was a nice option particularly on a hot day. The air con was so important because it was very hot. It was great to have the option of a breakfast in the cafe downstairs, but also the little shop had freshly baked baguettes every day which were delicious.

It would have been helpful to have a jug for us to transfer drinking water into in order for us to keep it cool in the fridge. I would have found it helpful for there to have been a toilet brush in the bathroom and a dustpan and brush for the kitchen area. The TV was a bit awkward to use in the upstairs living area.

Great location, not too central, not too far away. Nice design and well maintained aparthotel. The size of the room is also decent, the kitchen is very well equipped. I’d recommend booking the interior side, 1st floor, so you get a bigger balcony to enjoy.

The mattresses were worn out, so soft, out of shape, not that comfy. The pillow was super hard. The rooms are not well soundproofed so you can hear the steps from your neighbor above and the doors slamming in the adjacent rooms too. Access to the pool is on the 1st floor so if you stay on that floor, you’ll get many guests passing by your room door, this means it’s not the quietest.

The apartment was modern and well appointed. The bus station is across the road so super easy to get there from Barcelona. However, be prepared that public transport options to seaside towns are very limited so we ended up walking which was fine for us, took less than an hour to Llafranc.

The payment was confusing beforehand and kind of seemed sus to us as it was done via a link sent before our stay. We ended up going with it after many messages sent via booking.com and was all fine. However, there is still a failed payment message in booking.com for us even though the payment was accepted.

The property was clean, the room was spacious and we really appreciated the kitchenette. Beds were comfortable and the room had a small balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience with a woman at the front desk who went out of her way to help us resolve an issue with our reservations at other properties. She truly went above and beyond to help us, and she saved our vacation. This stay was the best of our time in Spain.

One bed w sheets that were not really clean? Some sandy debris left behind. Also, shower pipe was scalding hot (to the point of burning fingers trying to change from hand held to overhead shower Short power outage resolved quickly Sad to know I could’ve booked directly through the site and gotten a better rate AND free parking-especially since I was in communication directly with the hotel multiple times

Used the apartment as a central spot for visiting the area by car. Was very centrally located to go visit Girona, Figueres, Begur. Easy to find. Also was close walking distance from old town center where restaurants were located. Great room for family. Not close to beaches but l wasn’t looking for that.

Didn’t really get a chance to try restaurant on property because buffet was closed the morning we were around property. Nothing about property that l considered negative.

Kitchette with mini fridge, microwave and cook top, with basic pans and dishes, was perfect for making breakfast and snacks. Patio was nice for eating outside. Very helpful staff, reception spoke English.

Bathroom sink drain was slow. It would have been nice to have a self serve laundry in the hotel
