Charming converted hotel just outside Pizarra. Well located for local hiking area. Wonderful birdsong from dawn until dusk and views over surrounding agricultural land. The hotel is rustic and simple, as we expected when booking but with large comfortable beds in which we slept very well, great towels and efficient air con although the rooms stay quite cool. Perhaps a tad restricted on floor plan space around the ground level bed for suitcases etc. The kids loving sleeping on the mezzanine level. Nice pool which the kids were very happy to splash about in after our day trips. Friendly staff and relaxed friendly fellow guests of all ages. The restaurant was very nice although slightly pricey comparative to other meals taken during our trip. Our second night we ate tapas style in Pizarra town which was very good, a short drive away (no pavement to walk). Breakfast simple but tasty and self service juicers for the amazing local oranges were a hit with our children. The hotel accommodated our late checkout request and were happy for us to use the pool until time to head to the airport. We would definitely recommend.

This is a very nice quirky property. A former Arabian stud farm. My room was 2 storey with the bedroom upstairs. I had an outside area looking at the pool. Very quiet location. Just outside the town. Pool was lovely after a hot day on my motorbike. Parked near the room. The onsite restaurant was exceptional easily the best meal on my trip. Quite busy which is a good sign. A very professional waiter and great service. 1 st class steak and splendid beer on tap. Very nice ambience. Breakfast was lovely too all you would want. Highly recommended. Something a little bit different from the normal type hotels.

From the moment you enter the Cortijo you are meet with excellent customer service. We were full board and the food was all tasty, well presented and good portions! The pools and grass area was perfect for relaxing in! The English speaking waiter was super! He played great tunes at the restaurant/ all night! It’s dog friendly too! My dog got a little welcome pack!

Sadly only stayed here the one night before our flight home from Malaga the next morning. Charming hotel set in a very rural location. Wonderful restaurant serving traditional Spanish food in a lovely setting. A nice pool to cool off in after a long days driving. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to stayed longer.

A traditional-style hotel with comfortable rooms. The restaurant is well-known in the area, and we had some excellent meals there.

We were there during the first terrible storm at the end of October. The old stable block could not cope with the amount of rain, and our bedroom leaked.

The hotel was wonderful, comfortable and welcoming. We booked for lunch, dinner and breakfast at a very, very reasonable rate. The food was simply delicious and the staff very kind. We enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon, lying by the pool. Divine.

The facilities, the room, the silence, the nature, the atmosphere and the amazing staff. Todas las instalaciones, las habitaciones, el silencio, la tranquilidad y el trato.

Perfect hotel location for Caminito del Rey (30 mins drive) and airport (30 mins) restaurant was outstanding service and standard of cuisine, best we had in our 2 week stay around Granada and Cordoba. Staff could not have been any more friendly and helpful.

Although no mod cons, the rustic feel & setting was so romantic,xas was the restaurant outside dining area with amazing food!

A newer shower would be an improvement but certainly did not spoil our lovely stay.
