Very clean and spacious room and bathroom. Double sliding windows to minimise street noise

The reception staff were not particularly friendly and helpful. Throughout my two week trip I had no problems with the reservations I made on Booking.com but on my arrival at Galicia Palace Hotel I had to wait 20 minutes for the staff to check me in. When I asked what the problem was, they replied that they didn’t have a single room. I could then show them on my Booking app that I have indeed reserved a double or twin room. In the wardrobe in my room there were only 2 coat hangers.

The room was excellent. We got a suite and it was extremely large and comfortable. So was the bathroom. The hotel offers parking which is very convenient.

Breakfast is offered until 10:30 but at 9:15 there was very little food on offer. I guess if we had requested something they would have prepared it. It just looks uninviting to see almost empty plates.

Nice clean hotel in the middle of the town. Rooms were very good and comfortable - I did get a bit cold during the night however. The staff were helpful. The hotel itself was acceptable and if it hadn't have been so noisy (other guests), it would have been an excellent choice!

It was noisy. The usual experiences of being in a large hotel. Cases being dragged along the corridors, doors banging, loud voices, other guests unaware of their noise at all times of day and night.

Really great location close to the train and bus station and also only a 10 min walk to the town. Big hotel, but very quiet and nice spacious room.

The beds were a little hard and could do with a mattress comforter. Having said that I did sleep okay as it was really quiet despite it being high season. The price was a little expensive as I was traveling solo and had to book a double room of which there is no discount.

Room would have benefitted from facilities to make tea/coffee. Breakfast was good but again, would have benefitted from a slightly wider choice. Room rate was higher than equivalent hotels in other places along the Camino route but seemed in line with similar hotels in Pontevedra - must just be down to supply and demand.

We loved the large room and staff who were very kind and more than eager to please. The location was also great and I liked the comfort of the bed. Having a restaurant and coffee lounge there was awesome. The complementary water was a blessing for this pilgrim on Camino.

The strong scents from cleaning supplies and possibly added scents they use around the hotel. That is a personal issue because I’m allergic to it. The elevator rattles and clunks really hard when it stops.

The location was great. Staff was wonderful. They not only helped with our luggage transfer that we hadn’t done before (had been carrying full packs), but the next day assured us they would follow up again to make sure our bags were picked up after we left.

It was still a bit warm and a sign in the elevator said entire building had been “converted” to hear so no AC was available. We left our window without screen open all night for air.

Location, cleanliness

The staff member woke me up in the afternoon calling 3 x within 30 minutes to urgently adjust my parking as the car was crossing the line by 3 inches. He kept until I went to the garage. There was no one waiting to park, nor I blocked parking spot next to me. Additional, I was advised at check in I will be given free breakfast. After confirming I was alone in a room booked for 2, I was told breakfast will be complimentary. The final bill included charges for breakfast.

Everything but what I appreciated the most was the fantastic shower with incredible water pressure and excellent temperature control. Towels were large and soft. We are hiking the Camino so a good shower is high on my list! The front staff was so helpful with directions and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Bed extremely comfortable, great outlets conveniently placed.

Room was very nice, clean and spacious also we love to have bidet in the toilet. Location perfect, neat supermarket and restaurant and mercado, We also love the breakfast enough for our camino to the next city. It was raining when we arrive at the hotel, but since the location is close to restaurant, cafe and supermarket, we can get all we need easily.
