This little hotel was wonderful. It was a little tucked away and very unobtrusive from the outside but walking in was like entering an oasis. This, especially for exhausted pilgrims just in from a 20 km hike across hilly terrain in blazing heat. The proprietor took pity on us and served us lemonade right away. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. They entertained all of my dumb questions and were super patient with my poor Spanish language abilities. He helped me get situated with apps, bus schedules, and great restaurant recommendations, which we heeded. The hotel location was great. It was close to everything you'd want and need. We were on the third floor and the elevator worked great. The room was clean and blessed with AC. The room had a cool layout. The shower had good heat and pressure. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh and clean. Breakfast was good. Coffee, meat, eggs, and other assorted goodies were abundant. Fresh squeezed orange juice as well.

Beautiful property with some older features maintained, like the exposed brick. It is very clean and in good condition. My room had a nicely laid out bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast here was the best I'd had so far on the camino, generous and good quality offerings with freshly squeezed orange juice, so I was very impressed with all of that for just €6. I would definitely recommend El Cerco for anyone looking for accommodation on the Camino.

My room was on the 2nd floor. Very spacious room with a double bed, textile sheets and coverlet, plenty of pillows, night stands, and closet. Private bath with walk in shower. Heavenly! Excellent breakfast available for 8€.

Warm welcome, glass of cold fresh lemonade on arrival. Rules of hotel clearly explained. Advice about local eats explained and when I said I did not want breakfast they advised where I could get coffee early in the morning.

Everything was fine

A great stop in the middle of puenta la Reina. The lady at the desk was gracious and accommodating. My wife had blisters after walking the Camino de Santiago and the staff did everything they could to help make us comfortable. The room was amazing with a perfect view of the neighboring church and the build ing was a true piece of Spanish history.

Everything except the bed sheets as mentioned below. I was met with a cold limonade and all the information about the city that I needed. Great staff (lady)!!!

Stop putting the bed cover sheets under the madras as it only looks good, but it is ENORMOSLY ANOYING as I have to pull it out to use the bed, and I have to redoo the whole bed again. That would be the only reason not to use this hotel again. Save a lot of time by not doi g it and make your customers happy 😊 .

Good value for mony. Exellent location. Good breakfast, not expensive. The room, bed and bathroon was clean.

Great location for a one night stay when walking the Camino and easy to find. Breakfast for 9euro was very convenient with plenty of options Large bedroom with character and very comfortable beds

The room was a little dark

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is historic, with thick, ancient stone walls (hence, "El Cerco"). Great place to rest because it was cool and quiet.

The room was a little small and hard to sit on the bed because not enough pillows to make into a sitting area.

The best part of many were Anna and Alfonso who went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The place was very clean. Great location. Great breakfast. For me it was the staff that made this place exceptional. Thank you thank you

No screen on the window so I had to keep it closed so I wouldn’t let bugs in. And very little toiletries.
