The hotel is quite new & modern.

Even though the reception supposed to be open from 13:00-19:00 hrs, the lady at the reception was contacting us via WhatsApp non stop to know when we will arrive. This was really disturbing. She was quite rude when we arrived and asking a lot of unnecessary questions. There was a nice tasting place at the hotel but unfortunately it was closed all the time. The hotel is outside the village & the village has nothing to offer.

The cave was amazing, and the wine your perfect! we learnt so much!

Unless you are visiting their vineyards the hotel is located outside of the town . Breakfast was poor

Breakfast was poor, hotel was spotless, owner/manager very helpful and chatty, bottle of wine was a nice touch.

Beds not comfortable

Hotel was easy to find and within walking distance of the centre of town. There is no dedicated parking, but we felt safe leaving our car on the side of the road. Rooms were a good size, bathroom was accessible, room was very clean. Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it.

We had an unfortunate experience when we were locked out of the hotel at 11pm at night with a disabled member of our party and a two year old child. The hotel was not manned and we were given an access code for the front door. When we returned from an evening out, the code did not work. Fortunately, one of our party spoke Spanish and we contacted the emergency number only to be told that the contact lived in another village. Eventually, another employee was located and sent to let us in, but this took a while and we were left outside the hotel for over an hour. Updates were not forthcoming and we had to chase to find out what was happening. We would have struggled without our Spanish speaker. Next morning there was an offer of a small bottle of local wine and some cheese as a goodwill gesture, but this did not compensate for what was a very difficult time. No explanation of what had gone wrong with the door code was supplied.

No staff around - everything was done via Whatsapp or telephone. The key pad to unlock the room did not work. Fortunately someone was available from the winery next door to assist. If you understand Spanish then everything is ok. The town, Roa, doesn´t have any decent restaurants for dining in the evening.
