Breakfast was fine, staff were brilliant. The bar wasn’t really a bar, it was a restaurant and the staff were clearly uncomfortable with people just having a drink. The restaurant was Michelin starred so that explains their approach. A facility to make tea or coffee in the room would have been great. BUT- the whole place has such a great faded grandeur ambience with lovely courtyards etc and the staff were all lovely in the hotel (the restaurant is a different enterprise)

I never had breakfast in the hotel. 3 min walk and you have breakfast with the locals. The area the hotel is in is fabulous. Anything under the sun from markets to beach about 15 min walk. Staff is VERY accommodating, loving it.

Nothing to fold, except the bathtub could do with some love.

The room was very spacious and clean, the hotel was so different with lots of quirky touches. It has a really lovely feel to it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was 5 minute walk into the old town. We will definitely be visiting Sanlucar again and will look forward to staying at the hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay in this old palace, it really is a very beautiful and special place which breathes history. And all that for a very affordable price. Rooms very spacious, beds comfortable. Very much recommended for anyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary.

Only minus: unfortunately the wifi doesn't work in the rooms, only near the reception and the shared living room (salon).

The room was beautiful, like an old fashioned Spanish castle, quirky, loved it. A great patio area outside. We were lucky to find free parking across the road, otherwise there's free parking within a 10 minute walk.

We were in a ground floor room onto the street, noisy in the morning. The room was large but a bit stuffy, maybe the air con could be better. Really not much to complain about.

Reception staff too passive. I had to ask about dinner. Only provided info on request. Gave inaccurate information about Sunday night dining....most restaurants are CLOSED ! But were perdectly polite....need further training on how to engage with guests.

This is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. A total rustic charm and by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. A pipping hot power shower was very welcome along with a good continental breakfast. The whole place had character at every turn. Simply perfect.

Posada de Palacio is an absolutely charming hotel, with stunning rooms and courtyards. Perfect location and parking directly opposite if space available. Have stayed here a couple of times and will always be the go to place in Sanlucar de Barrameda. El Espejo restaurant next door is also great.

Beautiful hotel, the building is restored and decorated in a tasteful way, making the most of the palace original structure. The patios are beautiful, updated but keeping the real Andaluz flavor. Crossing the main door is an oasis of peace and quiet, we slept very well. The room was basic but very spacious, quiet and nicely decorated with vintage furniture and spotlessly clean. Location is very good, many attractions to see nearby (bodegas, palaces, the market, etc) and just 5 min walk to the main city square. The hotel restaurant El Espejo was really a highlight for us, we had an amazing dinner there (I heard about it from a friend, the hotel staff didn't even mention there is a restaurant on site). All and all it is a nice place to stay, I recommend it and I would stay again.

The welcoming by the staff at main desk was a bit cold, we just got the room key but no information at all about facilities and services, such as the restaurant, breakfast options or information about Sanlucar (like for instance a map with some recommendations). The room is quite basic, I was really missing a minibar fridge.

We really liked the authenticity of the hotel, the gorgeous courtyards etc. The room was lovely and clean and fresh and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room?
