We really loved our 3 night stay here and look forward to visiting again soon. A beautiful old building in a wonderful countryside location directly beside a cycle and walking route. Our bedroom was lovely, it was spacious and absolutely spotless - we slept well. A couple of snug rooms available to relax in and one with a wood burning stove which was perfect for pre dinner drinks. Lovely gardens to sit in and a swimming pool. We had dinner here on 2 of the nights and it was fantastic - Roy seems to be a very accomplished chef. Roy and Goretti the owners make an excellent team and offer a high level of hospitality - felt like we were staying with old friends, they’re both so lovely, really friendly and can’t do enough to help you have a great time. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Breakfast is basic but good, B&B is located about 20m away from Olot. Beautiful surroundings, there is a walk/bike trail that runs right by the location.

The facilities are basic but everything worked as expected, aside from the wifi signal/speed which was not strong -remote working would have been challenging. Dining chairs are not particularly comfortable, not a big deal for a quick breakfast but would have appreciated a cushion for when we opted into the dinner.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Thanks to Goretti and Roy for hosting us, it was such a pleasure. Incredible place: beautiful, atmospheric and overall unique and amazing. A special highlight were the dinners served - we were so impressed! The food, the service and the setting were top notch. Would love to come back one day.

Breakfast was delicious - fresh orange juice and espresso coffee, homemade jams, cold cuts/cheese and eggs! Roy and Goretti make a great team looking after their guests, it was a very homey stay in a lovely setting and right on the Via Verdes which makes for easy access for cycling or walking with lots of beautiful nature nearby. We were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely time.

Very calming place, plenty of options for hiking and cycling around, very tasty dinners for reasonable price, good selection of whiskey and fireplace in the cosy room downstairs for resting after active day outdoors. I would 100% return there if I am ever in this region again!

Lovely small hotel. The building has been converted very sympathetically to retain the existing character and features. Simple clean and comfortable rooms. The food at both breakfast and dinner was great. The owners, Roy and Goretti are very friendly and helpful. Situated in a very scenic area with great cycling routes all around I would certainly like to return in future.

What an incredible stay! We were in Spain for a wedding, so there was a group of us staying at La Rectoria. We could not have been looked after any better than we were. A fantastic and quite beautiful location nestled in the countryside - morning spent catching up over eggs (and delicious home made sponge), bathing in the sun by the pool, and sundowners in the courtyard. Cannot thank our hosts enough, we were so well looked after!

It was hot! hot! hot! My only (and very minor dislike) was the lack of aircon. Though to be absolutely fair, we were in the middle of a heatwave and our hosts did all they possibly could to keep things breezy - fans everywhere!

We loved this property and wish we stayed two nights. Goretti and Roy are wonderful hosts and have done an amazing job of restoring this 11th century building with modern amenities but retaining its original charm. A true labor of love. Roy is a fabulous chef so don’t event think about not getting dinner. We also loved the surrounding area and it’s exceptional day biking trips. The whole valley is set up really well for beautiful relatively flat biking. This was our favorite property we stayed at our three week trip to Spain and the least expensive.

Everything about the Rectoria was superb, the food was amazing and the location was beautiful, plus the hosts were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.
