A very good well established Spanish style hotel great location to the train station minutes away and also to the town centre. We been coming to this hotel for the past 15 years always have a good stay . Great breakfast daily served as a buffet service always a good choice of breakfast items, fresh fruits, yoghurts coffee and juices well enjoyed it. This year we were in 101 inside court view was ok but you are looking out into your neighbour room. Good bathroom ensuite good size shower good water pressure and hot water and soft fluffy towels
Could do with a face lift lobby area etc; when we checked in our room 101 had a bad smell of stale smoke quite overpowering. The room was one of the smaller we ever had I suppose I did know when I booked . Doggy electrics plug not working wall light hinging of the wall no ceiling light or fan, rusty bin . It used to be a cheap hotel which reflected the 3 star hotel now it is just as expensive as the rest of the hotels in Sitges .

Great rooms with a balcony. Enough closet space for clothes. Bathroom was clean with excellent free toiletries and towels provided, which were changed every day, room also cleaned on a daily basis. Rooms come equipped with TV, A/C and a fan. Breakfast is served to midday, which is a superb luxury with a variety of food options. Staff are excellent from front desk to the cleaning crew. 1 star hotel not on your life, it's above the 3 star rating.
It's not about not liking it's about space and accommodating everybody's needs. The swimming pool is good but could do with more seating as it becomes crowdy very quickly in the morning.

The place is basic, yes - but so quirky, from the lift to the decor - all very dated yes - but again, this just adds to the overall charm of the place. Firstly, the staff are so wonderful, from reception to breakfast staff - very welcoming. The location is fantastic. Very central but far enough away from any noise of the hussle and bustle of the nightlife & still just a 5 min walk to the beach. The bed was very big and very comfy - the shower was a-maz-ing !!!! . The room was cleaned daily. The fridge is a little small but ideal for storing drinks and small bits. I don't use aircon machines much, but there was one in the room, and it seemed to work perfectly. Breakfast for me was fruit and toast, but there were cereals, hot breakfast, tea, coffee, cold cheese, meats, jams, etc. It was all very basic, but given the price to stay, I wasn't expecting there to be as much choice on offer. Including the daily Cava. The loungers and table on the outside balcony terrace again a nice touch ( I was attic room gets the sun all day - but not the pool facing attic room ) Smallish but great pool which does the job. You can lounge nicely in the daytime next to it if you need to recover, or just a rest from the beach. Come and go as you please - key code entry at night makes it feel safe, staffed reception. Nice mix of residents from across the globe - noticed more male residents over the weekend - with more mixed genders and ages during the week everyone appeared friendly and welcoming. The hotel feels very inclusive for/to all
It's very basic & very dated. as long as you don't go expecting the ritz, it will be fine. . Does it need to upgrade? yes - Do I want to pay more as result of the upgrade? No Given that the current price is very reasonable, I think it is a great place to stay for value for money whilst still having a central base. The vibe of the place is a vibe within itself. Don't go with high expectations, and you should have a great time - but if you are a nit-picker, then you will be in your element here. I, however, will definitely be booking for next year.

Room, breakfast and service all good. I liked the extra touch of the lemonade in the reception area.
No parking. We were told by a staff member that the area past the railway and to the right was free - we left a car there for two days and found two parking fines when we returned

El Cid is a beautiful hotel. Large reception area and several comfortable lounges, all air conditioned. The room was spacious and air conditioned . It was cleaned daily with fresh towels most days. The en suite bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower, razor/hair dryer power point and all toiletries provided. The bed was super king size and the room had ample storage space with plenty of coat hangers. There were many power points in the room plus TV and fridge. The buffet breakfast, hot and cold foods were gastronomic served from 8am to noon. I've stayed here many times, English is spoken, its gay friendly and I would highly recommend it. The pool and sunbed area is all you need to relax. Being central to the town and beaches, its a treat and good value for money!
There was no kettle in the room to make tea/coffee when I arrived but reception did provide me with one. The balcony/patio had an electric sun canopy and 2 sun loungers which was good but it lacked a table for drinks and nibbles. I asked for one but it couldn't be provided

Not the first time at El Cid, everything was again up the standard I got used to. Location is great, near main train station with lots of shops, restaurants and bakeries around. Beach is really close, maybe 5-10 minutes of walk. Breakfast has its own standard for years, you can have various things, from cereals, fruit, cheeses, eggs boiled or scrambled, bacon or sausages, even beans for your classic English breakfast. Coffee machine is there also during breakfast. Pool option was ok, especially when you wait for your room to be ready or when you finish your check-out, you can still be at pool and wait for your ride to airport or wherever you go next. Staff is really friendly too, they will help if they can.
No big things really, everything you have at El Cid is good value for money. I did have little trouble with pillows, but thats just me, maybe others wont mind it.

We had a great stay @EL Cid as always been coming for the last ten years only miss out on lock down years. The hotel has not changed in that time a little dated but it is perfect in good location at the back of Sitges walking distance to beach front. bars and restaurants. Very closed to train station perfect. Excellent breakfast all you can eat buffet, lots of choice in a large breakfast room does get busy at times. A good swimming pool . Good large bed room big bed and updated bathroom large balcony all good
We did feel the hotel has gone up in price but then Sitges is expensive all rounder. Maids can be noisy outside your door early morning, our room door was left open all day after cleaning one day a bit scary but room was cleaned every day and new towels every day

It’s a good location in the old town but only a few minutes walk to the sea front. The rooms are nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and enormous! The breakfast was brilliant- a really good choice of hot / cold and lovely pastries. Good coffee too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a lovely sunny pool area with plenty of sunbeds. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to sit and read/ swim/ sunbathe.
Stairways are a bit tired. The wiring in the room wasn’t great - my lamp wouldn’t turn on. A couple of bedside lights would make all the difference.

It is sparkling clean. Very good value for 1 star hotel. It is close to railway station. The staff are very friendly and they all can speak fluent English. I arrived early at 10 am in the morning after a 21-hour flight. They have a facility for me to take a shower and get changed and left my luggage while I am waiting for check-in, which is about 2pm. A large range of choice for breakfast. The breakfast is serving from 8am to 12pm. I booked in the room with the pool view which is the excellent choice as I can dry all my towel and swimwear in the balcony. So, I can use next day.
If they install a power pluge beside the bed, that would be perfect.

The location is wonderful! Easy walk to the beach, stores, and central town areas. The breakfast was great! Always a good selection that fills you up. Prosecco is a nice touch! (If you're lucky enough to get some). The pool gets sunshine 90% of the day, which is fab. The staff are lovely, especially the Breakfast staff! They are all very welcoming and accepting.
To be honest there isn't much I could say. I'd love the rooms to have conditioner for hair and a hairdryer. If I'm being picky then some of the rooms can get a bit noisey, but honestly it wasn't that bothersome or bad. TV channels could do with some English ones besides just news! :D But who's coming to Sitges to sit in their room and watch TV anyway!
