The fact that it was so central with easy access to all tourist attractions, restaurants, bars and shops which were all within walking distance. The room was very relaxing as it was so quiet even when we had the balcony door open. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. I enjoyed chatting to them with my mediocre Spanish. We had a lovely breakfast every morning even though we hadn’t booked it. I was especially delighted to find that the pool was still open at the end of October. I really enjoyed a long swim with the pool to myself every afternoon for the full week we were there. I also enjoyed my walks to the beach only 5 minutes away.

The hand basin in our en-suite was very shallow and difficult to use as the water splashed on the floor.

The location of the hotel is terrific. We got a bus from Barcelona to Tarragona, and the bus station is a short walk to the hotel. We then got a train to Mora La Nova, and the train station is really close to the hotel. Also, the most important tourist sites are equally close by, as are great places to eat, and of course the beach. In addition, the staff were really friendly and helpful. In particular, one of the staff helped me to book my return bus to the airport and gave me some excellent advice. The buffet breakfast was a bonus. We had it on both days of our stay and paid on departure. The food was excellent.

N/A. We were perfectly happy with this hotel and will look to stay there again if we go back to Tarragona.

We liked the location, but the lack of communication was dreadful, we had been on the road for 10hrs, nobody informed us prior to our visit about the road closures.

In the room it’s smelled of sewerage. Rm313. The desk staff when we arrived were pretty unhelpful about parking issues. We asked for a double bed and was given a twin. The €18 parking charge wasn’t mentioned until we spoke to the hotel direct, which changed the value of the stay!

Wonderful and friendly staff from the receptionists to the house keepers, everyone was helpful and nice. I've enjoyed the breakfast (buffet style) with a variety of food. Lovely swimming pool ideal to relax and have a peaceful moment. You can opt by swimming or enjoy a cold drink next to it. I loved my bedroom with the balcony and air conditioning. Clean towels and tidy room every day provided by the kind housekeepers. Good location next to city centre. Close to bar, cafe, restaurant, beach and shops.

Just two small incovenients: The insulation. You can hear all the noises from the bedrooms next door and upwards. The leaking shower. Each time we had a shower, water leaked on the sides of the shower causing the bathroom floor to be a little bit flooded 😕

We have stayed here before and we will always stay here. Location is the best! At the end of the walking promanade down the center of the street at the overlook to the sea and near the Roman theater. Very nice, large rooms, very clean. This time we had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool, lovely. You can add breakfast but we never have so I can not comment. Parking is underground in the middle of the street under the walking promenade if you can not get into the hotels private lot.

Wish there was a kettle. Everything else is great.

While the (single) room was quite small, this hotel was excellent value located right very close to the lookout across the sea. The shower room was proportionate to the room reasonably large and there was a good shower. Breakfast was very good indeed. So for somewhere for a shortish stay which is only used for somewhere to sleep, this hotel was ideal. For a slightly longer stay, the lack of space for luggage may have become an issue, but other rooms may be larger. Another positive is the location extremely close to the train station (Tarragona not Camp Tarragona). I arrived by coach, and it's a straightforward 15 minute walk from there. It's ideally placed for all the main attractions, and I'd certainly choose this again.

The room was a bit on the cramped side. However, that has to be balanced by the price, which was extremely good value, and the breakfast was also excellent. I had a single room, and others might be larger. Even so, the bathroom facilities were proportionately larger, so for a short stay, this was ideally placed.

Great hotel with impressive entrance off The Ramblas and well located for a stay in Tarragona. Only a short walk down the steps to the Renfe station and 15 minutes to the bus station. The staff were very helpful. The room was quiet, modern and comfortable with views over the swimming pool. Great shower too. The breakfast buffet was very good with a lovely selection for all guests. We would recommend.

The swimming pool temperature was ' fresh' as opposed to cold but certainly cooler than expected. No big deal really but worth mentioning.

Travelling with our two dogs, hotel Lauria is always our one night Tarragona stop off on our journey. It’s cheap and cheerful. The staff are ALWAYS really accommodating and nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is amazing We’ve never had breakfast here. So can’t comment, but the breakfast area always looks nice!

The only thing I would say is that you can really hear corridor noise and movement from other rooms. We’ve normally been pretty lucky with our room placements so it’s never bothered us.

This was my 8th consecutive year at Hotel Lauria - it is my home in Tarragona. Clearly I like everything - in particular the elegance of the surroundings, the pool area and the superb reception staff.

Just one thing - I had been assured of a poolside balcony room as in previous years - this had been confirmed by email before my visit. But on arrival this was not the case - after a couple of days the position was rectified but that should not have occurred.

This was our third visit, so we like it! It is in a really lovely location on the main street, close to all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are a good size and have balconies looking out over the swimming pool.

There is construction/refurbishment going on in the hotel so the corridors were untidy. A coffee machine in the room would be nice.
