Good parking (though the lane down to the Hostal may not suit larger cars), clean, shower and WiFi good, helpful staff. Close to excellent beach. Daily room service. Used by a lot of Spaniards

It’s just about on the border for walking into Taragonna especially in hot weather but it is straight up the Via Augusta. On site food a little basic but there was an excellent cafe at top of the lane

Super beautiful the surroundings inside. I really liked it. The staff were so nice. The clean of the room and overall was very good.

The breakfast we paid had to be restricted to chooses in a menu, I thought it was buffet. Also the air conditioner was to strong specially during night

The hostal is is very clean and accessible. The rooms are spacious enough with all basic facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Though a kettle would be handy, I think they were available to borrow, but i didn't get an opportunity to ask. Staff are more than helpful and accommodating. For a similar break i'd certainly use them again. 10 minute walk to the beach. 25 minute walk to the railway station and 10 minute walk to the football stadium, which was our reason for the stay.

I liked the location. The room was very clean and the beds were made for us everyday and room cleaned. I liked the cats around the court yard and free parking was a bonus.

The mattress was a bit soft for me and bathroom very small.

Love the location and it could not be any cleaner. It is always spotless with lovely bed linen. It is such a good stop off en route to Spain and has very secure parking. It is also pet friendly with an enclosed garden for dogs to run around in. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room, while small, was warm and welcoming.

That twice I have stayed and the breakfast room still was not open at 8am as posted. I waited until 9am. Both Sundays I was there. Then was obliged to leave my room key on the bed as there was no drop box to leave ii and no one came when I rang for them. So if breakfasts are not available on Sundays, perhaps they should say so.

Great for access to a beach. Good sized room but, in our case, a tortuous climb to the first foot ( However we had declined a ground floor room so we were at fault)

Dodgy entrance off a busy road takes you dow a steep, really narrow alley with inches to spare each side of the car.

It is easy to find, not far from the central city by driving. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurant choices nearby.

I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. The alley leading to the hostal was quite narrow. However, even if you do not park in the private lot, it is easy to find free street parking on the main street without driving into the narrow alley.

Parking absolutely fine, location good and bed comfortable. Curtains were perfect and blacked out the room. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The shower hot water (which was on powered by on demand gas according staff) kept going hot and cold, I reported it in morning and they said I could change rooms and they would need to replace the faucet mixer, unfortunately as I was staying only one night it didn't help. (yet how could I fault that level of service?). The breakfast was nice and could have been better, I could hear noise from adjacent rooms.

There was a free parking spot.

It was raining in the morning and apparently the roaches get to the rooms after the rain from the canalizacion system. So we had a cockroach in the morning in our bathroom. The room was pretty small too, difficult to navigate through. The breakfast option was pretty poor.

Hostal El Callejón does exactly what it says on the tin. It is a 2* hostel. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. The staff were efficient and courteous. The location is perfect. It is tucked away off the Via Augusta, but within 5 minutes drive of the centre of Tarragona. There is a bus stop right opposite the entrance. The beach is 3 minutes walk, with relaxed chiringuitos serving good food and drink. Best of all, the hosts allow well-behaved humans to accompany their pets
