Although quite a challenging drive the hotel is in a beautiful area. We stayed here 20+ years ago when it was very traditional prior to buying a property locally. Having now moved on we revisited the area to see old friends and booked the hotel again. It is better! The same traditional setting but with all mod cons. Great rooms with fantastic views, exceptional restaurant food at both breakfast and dinner plus helpful attentive staff. Recommend.

Because of the relaxing ambiance and on site spa and nearby medicinal waters it does attract “retreat” groups (mainly women) that can dominate the facilities and access to buffet breakfast

The location in the mountains was exceptional! We didn't realize it when booking, and we were on a hiking trip so this was perfect. (Only that we had hiked in the mountains 25 km before arriving in the village and understanding that there was one more big climbing in front of us... :) Nevertheless, the view was stunning. The facilities were very comfortable, and there was even a pool! Finally decided to stay two nights instead of one that we had booked.

The restaurant was a bit expensive for the quality of meals.

The hotel is beautiful and the location spectacular! I don't think I appreciated how 'up the mountain' this hotel really was and so the views and the whole ambience were beautiful. You really do feel away from everything and everyone up there. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food and drink were of a good quality. The access to the walking area in the nature park are good.

The only thing we found a little tough was there was not much choice on food and the service was very slow at busy times (took 2 hours for us to receive our meal one night).

Fantastic location, friendly and obliging staff, lovely room with amazing views from all 3 sets of windows. Spacious bathroom with bath-tub (a rarity in hotels these days!). Also loved the outdoor area with pool. Extremely relaxing place. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent too.

Nothing we didn't like.

Location, peace, views. A great hotel in a fabulous position with incredable mountain views. Our room was rustic, spacious and very comfortable.

Maybe get the shutters and doors to fit better. We experienced high winds so it sounded like Halloween! Can't say that was normal as I doubt you would get those winds often.

The location is perfect! There are awesome views around. It is an ideal match if you want to rest a bit from the city. Also, it was really warm there despite the cold weather outside (we stayed in January).

The rooms are kinda outdated and should be renovated a bit

Location. Hotel full of character. Nice restaurant and good breakfast selection

Thin walls. Fortunately the hotel wasn't busy during our stay but not good to hear snoring and more from nextdoor bedroom on the one night it was occupied.

Stunning surrounds and a great hike with beautiful views. Friendly staff, good dinner menu.

The breakfast was very basic, it would be great to have a bit more variety and freshly baked items. But this is minor considering the stunning location.

We liked the old rustic charm. It's a small hotel which has nice views from its hill top location. The room was spacious.

The pool is a little small and the sunbeds were worn out. The property needs a little refresh.

Best views from hotel and bedroom ever. Could see 50 miles. Silent, isolated, relaxed, excellent food, pleasant and efficient staff.
