Our one-night stay at Pazo da Trave in Viveiro was an absolute gem, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. This beautifully restored 15th-century palace exudes charm and history, making it a perfect retreat. The lush gardens, dotted with a traditional Galician granary, chapel, and sculptures, created a serene and picturesque setting that felt like stepping into a fairytale. The room was cozy, impeccably clean, and comfortable, with rustic decor that perfectly complemented the historic ambiance. The staff were attentive, warm, and welcoming, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. The dinner at the onsite restaurant was exceptional—simple yet delicious Galician dishes made with love, using fresh, local ingredients. It was one of the best meals we had in Northern Spain, served in a charming dining room that added to the experience. With a lovely pool, free parking, and a peaceful atmosphere, Pazo da Trave left us with no complaints. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend this enchanting hotel to anyone visiting Viveiro for a truly memorable stay.

Pazo de Trave has a truly magical feel and offers so many ways to relax and unwind. From the minute you arrive you feel welcomed and special. The house is a beautifully restored historic building with amazing ceramics dotted all around. The garden is just as wonderful - with lots of different spaces to explore. Equally wonderful were the staff and the manager Leticia. Nothing was too much trouble - attentive without being obsequious and they seemed to know what you wanted before you’d even realised yourself. Leticia was also a mine of information, suggesting all manner of activities for our daytime excursions as well as restaurant options.

The room was a bit warm as there’s no air conditioning.

The staff were really attentive and went out of the way to make your stay pleasant. This goes for recrption staff and waiters. The hotel was quirky and beautiful but very comfortable. An excellent breakfast and lovely grounds.

Nothing except the e ening meal although the wsiter eas do friendly and helpful..the meal was a little disappointing and very similar the following night.

A wonderful gem. Extremely characterful old building steeped in history with fantastic furnishings and décor, beautiful gardens and private parking. Lovely pool too but unfortunately it was due to open after our stay. Leticia was so very helpful from the start of our booking and continued to be so before and during our stay providing a small fridge for our room and recommending places to visit. We had a wonderfully spacious quiet 1st floor family room overlooking the garden with decent sized bathroom. We chose to eat in both nights – traditional homely meals with a choice of wine – perfect after a day out. Breakfast consisted of home made or locally produced products and we even had egg and bacon one morning. A perfect place to sit and contemplate the day, relax and unwind. Absolutely charming, well maintained small village feel away from the busy city but within an easy short drive from town and beautiful beaches. The children loved the pool . Every member of the staff was wonderful and the manager exceptional. The entire staff looked for even the small ways to make our stay one to remember!

It is always a fantastic experience to return to Pazo da Trave. We found the place as we were looking for a dog-friendly pazo. The kindness, friendliness of the staff is second to none, you feel really welcomed and they are very attentive to your every need. Add to that that the property is really beautiful and not far from the sea

The Pazo da Trave was the perfect place to start our holiday and explore this corner of NW Galicia. We liked everything about it - the warm welcome, the art, the history - but our highlights were: The staff: Leticia and her team were outstanding - friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. We felt they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. The garden: the ideal spot to relax with a chilled glass of Albarino after a day of exploring. We loved how peaceful and calm it was. The food: I wasn't sure what to expect based on past reviews, but I needn't have worried. We usually like to go out for dinner, but at the Pazo da Trave, we were happy to stay in the hotel and enjoy tasty, authentic Galician food at very reasonable prices. The menu included slow-cooked meat and fish; I had chicken cooked in a white wine sauce one night and baby squid in black ink with rice another time. All fresh and delicious. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Simply everything. Our initial greeting from Letisha was wonderful, showing us around and making us feel incredibly welcome. The property is wonderfully unique in decor and the grounds lovely to explore. Our room was spacious, immaculate and well appointed with a great bath and loads of hot water. But best of all was the food, much of which was sourced from chef Anna’s own garden. Each mouthful was heavenly, served with style by Letisha, and the wine list was interesting and like the food, well priced.

Situated slightly out of town but that simply meant that it was even more peaceful and relaxing.

The staff, and especially the Director, Leticia, we're very attentive and warm..The furniture was traditional for the area and the garden a beautiful place to read or have a drink. Both breakfast and dinner were available and delicious. Parking was ample.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

Splendid breakfast with three kinds of fruit, cheese ham and sweet pastries. Lovely tranquil garden and interesting art and interior decoration. Everyone welcoming and helpful.

An attic bedroom was hot overnight and the air-conditioning provided was certainly too noisy to use during the night.
