When you go to a hotel, there are some things that are uncompromising, cleanliness, value for money and service. The rest is a personal choice. Firstly the location. We went on a holiday weekend and it was difficult to park although there is parking above the hotel and in the town. The hotel does not have dedicated parking. The hotel is at the top of the town and has amazing views of the country and reservoir. Secondly, the hotel is lovely. Not quaint or historic but a feel good place, clean and looks like it's had a recent lick of paint. The room we had was fine and what you expect from a hotel of this category, bed comfortable and everything worked. Lastly, the staff were really helpful and polite. Breakfast basic but good and the restaurant more than adequate for the price. All in all, very happy with our stay.

No Parking

We stayed here on a cycle tour. It was a long climb up to the village in wet weather but well worth it. The views from the hotel restaurant and rooms are stunning. We could bring our bikes into the hotel. The staff were all very friendly. Our room was large and comfortable with a minibar. A very good breakfast and dinner were included in the price which was excellent value for money. The hotel is in a great location just a 5 minute walk from the centre of the very attractive village.

We liked everything

This hotel was lovely. Super clean, neat rooms with one of the most amazing views of the landscape outside. Check in/out was very easy and the receptionists were very kind and helpful.

The town is very small so there were no restaurants open at normal dinner time during the week night. We ended up eating at the restaurant located in the hotel but it was very pricey for an okay meal that didn’t fill us up. If you plan walking to this hotel for your stay, be aware it is almost at the top of the mountain so the walk can be hard for some. It is worth it for the views though and didn’t bother me much.

Beautiful environment. The hotel is conveniently located in the town with everything in walking distance. Parking was no problem for us. The restaurant was fine too!

Although the room was hygienic and well cleaned, we did find some hairs in the shower & on the bed, and there were some stains on the blankets (I'd still rate it 4/5 clean). Limited English speaking personnel, yet helpful!

Excellent breakfast and dinner. Fantastic view over the valley. Good location at the entrance to the upper village. Room well-equiped, very comfortable bed and pillows. Staff very friendly and helpful, despite the lack of English on their part and Spanish on my part. Lift available to bedrooms. Good air conditioning / heating system.

An extra chair would be helpful. A stiff climb from the lower parking lot.

The view from the hotel room is the highlight. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is well accessible, with a parking spot nearby. All in all, a great hotel for a one or two-day stay in Zahara.

The breakfast buffet was quite basic. At times, it was a bit noisy in the early morning, as you could easily hear people from neighbouring rooms and the corridor.

Perfectly situated in the village, viewing the lake, parking right next to the hotel, room clean, comfortable with lake view. Nice breakfast and nice dinner at the hotel'srestaurant. Prices are very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again

Nothing. Everything was great

The location was breathtaking- right at the top of the hill road on which the village was perched, within easy access of the castle on top. Views were spectacular. Staff very helpful, particularly at time of a health crisis- receptionist drove me to the medical clinic early in the morning

The fact that parking was limited and made difficult by non guests parking on the terrace above the hotel- this area should be designated strictly for guests only

Location - incredible position and view. It has a small car park. Rooms tidy, traditionally stylish, clean, v comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Great place!

Not much. A bit of noise came through the walls and ceilings which woke me at 7. But otherwise excellent.

The views were perfect and the village very welcoming

We arrived on Sunday and Maps Google directed us through the main square which is closed on Sunday, the other route going straight to the hotel unfortunately is not on Maps Google yet.
