I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Miridiya Lake Resort, conveniently located on the edge of Nuwara Wewa, just a stone's throw from Anuradhapura town. This hidden gem is a haven of tranquility, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature, making it a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The resort itself exudes charm and comfort. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the tasteful decor that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and offered all the comforts needed for a restful stay. What truly sets Miridiya Lake Resort apart is its staff. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail and prompt service greatly enhanced my experience. The food at the resort was nothing short of amazing. Offering a variety of delicious, well-prepared dishes at very affordable prices, each meal was a delightful experience. The dining setting, overlooking the serene waters of Nuwara Wewa, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meals. Overall, my stay at Miridiya Lake Resort was thoroughly enjoyable. It's a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Anuradhapura, offering a perfect blend of beauty, comfort, and exceptional service. The staff at Miridiya was very attentive and helpful with our requests; we needed ground-floor rooms (due to mobility reasons), an extra half-day stay and a last-minute request for a vehicle -- everything was provided without any hassle. The room-service menu was good (standard Sri Lankan Chinese food, 'western' meals, good portion sizes). Would recommend meals from the room-service menu.

The breakfast buffet was not as great as expected; very basic with few options for pescatarians/ vegetarians.

Nice location Rooms have fantastic views. Friendly staff and tasty food. For the first time I saw a lady chef in the restaurant. That is so awesome and she was great. Staff was very friendly with our kids.

Swimming pool was closed for maintenance

Great place to stay in Anuradhapura. The staff was really welcoming, attentive to detail, accommodating, and very sweet and respectful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The pool was lovely, warm, and clean. perfect location with easy access to the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Surely this will be our choice for our next trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay. .

The friendliness of the staff. Their attention to detail and promptness to help.

Lack of elevators. But the new structure being built has elevators. Also, the staff is very helpful in bringing the bags to the 2nd floor.

The beds were comfy overall, the room was fantastic, and cleanliness was amazing. Pool was nice too.

Breakfast had a few less options, but that’s about it, everything else was amazing.

Location was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was very good.

Parking is available but its under trees. Which is not good in rainy condition as so many small leaves and flowers fall everywhere on the vehicle.

a clean, stylish, and well-presented hotel. excellent service and very good food. On the day we left, we had a problem with our transportation and had to return to the hotel. The manager was extremely helpful. We were given a room to change in and use of the pool while our vehicle was being repaired. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would strongly recommend.

The staff were courteous. The room had an open bathroom and we liked it for a change.

There was a private open garden party with loud music which disturbed the sleep but music was stopped after 10pm. The room opens directly to the garden hindering privacy to some extent

Everything, including the food, rooms, bathrooms, and staff, was excellent. very convenient place for all the historical places. The manager was very friendly and supported us in every possible way. highly satisfied with the service level of the staff.
