I loved absolutely everything! The beautiful view of Ella Rock, the comfortable bed, the clean environment, the kindness of the family, the breakfast! A lovely spot away from busy Ella, quiet and pleasant. The family were lovely and helpful when I needed it, simply a joy to talk too. I stayed here for one week and was sad to leave. I had access to the kitchen to make drinks or cook food if I wanted, I used the washing machine a couple of times for the most affordable price in Sri Lanka, I felt comfortable in the space and calm overall. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. And I was surprised with a little gift from the family when I left. Thank you all! A pleasure to stay with you and to meet you all ❤️

They greeted us with some tea and cookies! It was lovely. We also had an access to a shared kitchen so we could have had tea/coffee anytime. They also had a laundry machine (no dryer though but it is not a common feature) which was quite useful If I remember correctly the place did not have AC but Ella is quite cool (literally) place so you do not necessarily need one. The only problem is we tried to dry our clothing in the room and end up driving room's humidity to 100%. We probably would have better luck drying outside (maybe not) We arrived well after the sunset and we left quite early. So we had only 30 min to enjoy just gorgeous view!

The view from the terrace and the room itself was fantastic and I enjoyed just sitting outside with a cup of tea and enjoying the view. When we arrived our host welcomed us with some tea and biscuits which was a really nice touch. He was very responsive all throughout our stay via WhatsApp in case we needed anything. The room itself was spacious and clean. We booked breakfast and it was really tasty and very filling.

Breakfast is a excellent

The room was big and had all the facilities like TV, hairdryer, etc. Most important, it was spotlessly clean. The owner, Aruna was gracious enough to pick us up from the train station. We had access to the kitchenette and could even use the washing machine for a reasonable price. Lots of birds around in the area that we chased in the mornings with our binoculars and camera. A birders' place!

I would have liked more privacy. The balcony/terrace area is shared. Since the room has only glass doors and no windows, we liked to leave the door open but each time anyone walked to the kitchen, we didn't feel so private.

It was really a nice experience to stay with these hosts. The hosts were really nice and friendly people.I highly recommend them.
