The owner or Hotel manager was beyond compare! he really cared and payed attention to our wellbeing. Only for this it can be 15/10! The view just breathtaking! little place in our room with comfortable chairs and tea with a great view… The staff also welcomed us with welcome smoothies what was really nice. We asked for a personal tuk-tuk driver and he spent the whole day with us. was waiting for us at different spots and in general was kind and nice to us. I recommend doing that. It is perfect budget place for staying and enjoying your morning after hiking with a nice cup of coffee, scenery and really good staff. Respect, guys! you are the best! recommend!!!

Beautiful property in Ella! This place has one of the most amazing views we have ever seen! The breakfast is delicious and plentiful, the staff are incredibly nice and helpful, and the beds were so comfortable. Dinesh, especially, made our stay extra special! This property is just a short walk to the main town which makes it very quiet and peaceful. If we ever come back to Ella we will definitely stay here again. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience during my stay at the hotel. The view from my room was nothing short of magnificent, offering an awe-inspiring vista of the breathtaking mountain landscape. First of all: I would change the name into: PERFECT VIEW ELLA! We've had such a great stay! Super friendly host and service! Every morning an amazing breakfast with a stunning view + some animal watching! Also the rooms are perfect! You have a fridge and a balcony! The host was always reliable and provided us with a lot of tips. We were at hide view Ella during sri lankans new years holiday and we even received some traditional sweets! So lovely! Also when we left we got some bananas as Proviant for our ride! Maybe a small side note: if you travel with your own tuk tuk/vehicle: obviously, for a good view you have to drive up up up and the last road is a little bit steep and bumpy but it's manageable! Overall: big recommendation! Thanks for having us!

We had the most amazing stay, don't bother looking for anywhere else in Ella - this is the place to stay! The rooms are really nice and clean and the view from the common room area is like a painting! I could not believe the balcony and what we could see from our room. You can sit and watch the clouds roll over the mountains and all of the wildlife. It is such a nice place to relax to have a common room area and the food at the in house restaurant is so delicious. Breakfast is really special, so so much food and the staff were so incredibly warm and welcoming. They have a TukTuk to hire for very reasonable prices to take you to Ella and will organise absolutely everything for you. We did a waterfall tour and the absolute best Ella Rock hike before sunrise - could not recommend more. The staff will do anything to make your stay comfortable and were unbelievably kind when I was unwell during my stay.

Hide View is a remarkable property situated above Ella. The view from our balcony and from the main dining room was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen; we woke up early one morning to watch the sunrise and it took our breath away. The room itself was comfortable, clean and well-appointed, with a new and powerful shower. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange transport around the area (with an excellent driver) and were forthcoming with suggestions and recommendations. We also enjoyed discussing the local wildlife over breakfast with them! Breakfast was generous and tasty, with a spread of tea, coffee, juice, fruit, pancakes, hoppers and a choice of eggs. Despite appearing to be quite difficult to find, the hotel is well-known by tuktuk drivers and surprisingly easy to access. It is only about 5 minutes down to Ella town, so it is very easy to get around. Ella was perhaps our favourite place in Sri Lanka, and this was in no small part due to the excellent experience we had at Hide View.

This place is just amazing! Breakfast was delicious and very very big with fresh fruits, smoothy, eggs, toast and even local additions like hoppers etc. The view is so beautiful that you just don’t want to leave the hotel. We ate there almost every day as lunch offer was also big and everything we tried was really great, especially rotti. Stuff was so friendly and helpful that all our wishes like laundry, scouter, tuktuk was never a problem. We talked a lot with a owner and stuff as you can feel there like with friends. I would recommend this place to everybody :) :) :)

It is far enough above Ella so you can hear and see all the birds and some other animals as well right from your balcony. The view is amazing! The rooms are comfortable and the nets above the beds are useful against the mosquitoes. The breastfast includes tea/coffee, fruit juice, toast, pancakes and fruit. We had dinner there every night, the vegetable curries were especially great and the sambol is the best I had during our trip! The guys running the place are very nice and help with anything you need such as cold water, fruit juice, tuktuk tour organizing, etc. It is just a few minute walk to the railway tracks, so Ella Rock is closer than from town.

That view!! So stunning. The view from our lovely room (very clean and comfy with a couch and a nice thick blanket) balcony was incredible and the view from the upstairs common room/ restaurant was even better. It rained during our stay and it was so cozy to sit sipping tea on our balcony. It was a bit out of town up a hill, so we did not walk but instead took tuk tuks up and down (which the homestay called for us when we wanted to go down) for less than $2 each trip. The included breakfast was very big and delicious and the staff helped us arrange to contact the train station when we left something behind. We ate lunch in the restaurant one of the days and it was delicious too. And again, the view!! So so nice.
