This is a low cost property with million $ views. It rained both nights we were there and the waterfall in the distance was wonderful each morning. When the fog rolled in pre rain it was another delight. The staff were very attentive and helped with great food recommendations and calling a tuk tuk to collect us (no one is walking into town, believe me). Great find.

We checked in, looked at the view and immediately extended our stay! The view is actually incredible, enjoying a cup of tea on the bed thats on the balcony while looking down over mountains & waterfall was heaven, could have stayed there forever! The staff are wonderful and they arranged a tuk tuk for a day trip to little adams peak, 9 arch bridge & ravana waterfall for a very reasonable price. We also booked a taxi from Ella to the south coast which again was a really good price compared to what we had been looking at. Breakfast is also fantastic! Would 100% recommend staying here while visiting Ella, it’s a little out of the town but very easy to get to and from about 5 mins in a tuk tuk (which should cost around 500 rupees) and the views are so worth being that little bit up the hill.

Super views through the Ella Gap. It's hard to imagine you can get better ones anywhere in Ella. The balcony is large with bean bag, double lounger and breakfast table with two chairs so you can really spend your time soaking up the view. The sun rises over the hills so it's worth getting up early to watch. The rooms are a good size with a comfortable bed and are quite modern. There are a few nice restaurants nearby so you don't need to walk down the hill into town to eat unless you want to. The location is quiet and relaxing, away from the buzz, traffic and pollution of the main town. Town is about 10mins walk away down the hill. There are a couple of small shops nearby selling basics but the nearest ATM is in town. Very friendly hosts Kumar and Rago, who will make you a full breakfast each morning and give you tips on where to go and what to do and can arrange well priced onward transport for you.

This is a really great spot to seek out if you want to avoid being in the town of Ella itself. It’s a bit of an uphill trek, but only a 15 minute walk in to town downhill and you can get a tuktuk on the way up if you don’t fancy the climb. The views from the room are spectacular, even with some cloud cover. Highly recommend waking up for the sunrise. Rooms themselves are very clean, comfortable and spacious, the balcony itself providing a great spot to relax and enjoy breakfast. Breakfast is very tasty. Staff are lovely, very personable, asking about our day and providing useful information about the area, making our stay all the more better for it. Thank you

Walls are quite thin, so we did experience a fair bit of noise from adjacent rooms and the hallway.

l High Roccoment. The rooms were clean, the view was stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Loved the calm surroundings and the excellent service. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and professional. Comfortable beds, delicious food, and friendly staff. Hotel High Roccoment offered great amenities at a reasonable price. Definitely worth it Clean rooms, fast WiFi, and helpful staff made the stay memorable.

Absolutely brilliant stay - get the deluxe rooms 201/202/203 and enjoy the most fantastic balcony and views. I have to say this was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The price to value is just unbeatable. Staff Mr Kumar and Raghu excellent. Room wa spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Wifi very good. Breakfast very good. A little bit of a walk from the main Street, tuk tuk will quote you all sorts of prices, try pickme app, otherwise LKR 400 is the proper reasonable price. Highly recommend stay

An amazing view from the window overlooking Little Adam’s Peak and a waterfall. The location is excellent, serving as a perfect base for exploring nearby attractions. The room was very nice, comfortable, and cozy. This was the first hotel in Sri Lanka where there was truly hot water for a shower, which was a pleasant surprise.

the hotel is quite expensive, but it seems the town itself is generally pricey. Additionally, there is no parking available. Despite these minor issues, it’s a great place to stay!

The rooms were great. Amazing view! The staff, Kaimar and Ragu, did a great job to make me feel welcomed and prepared a great breakfast - western or even local - just as I wished. I ended up staying 2 weeks there because I fell in love with the view and loved to hang out at the balcony. For me the location was perfect - just out and away from that busy Ella. There are stairs you can take to shorten your way to town - it took me 10 min down, 15min up by foot. I would definitely recommend to stay there! The only thing that could be approved would be a supply of filtered water as there is non at the moment.

Booked it purely to have breakfast on the balcony and the views were the selling point of this place! Staff were also lovely and accomodating

Needs a bit of TLC. Fixtures need replacing, balcony door broken.. Need a tuktuk back from town as the dogs up the hill are rather off-putting (not really the hotels fault just be aware of location!). Basically no soundproofing and noise echoes across the rooms. We were disturbed by dogs barking and noisy guests next to us.

My best experience in Sri Lanka to date! Raghu was incredibly helpful and welcoming. This charming boutique hotel features only three rooms, each with a view of Little Adam’s Peak. You can watch the sunrise behind the mountain from your room. It’s also close to the city and rail the station. The breakfast was fantastic. Must stay if you’re in Ella.

The path leading to this hotel is mountainous, so it’s a bit hard to walk back after dark.
