Staying at Ami Mirissa was an absolute delight from start to finish. The rooms are beautifully designed modern, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fridge, kettle, and excellent air conditioning. The bathrooms are spacious with great water pressure, which was a big plus after long beach days. What truly makes Ami Mirissa special is the warm hospitality. even preparing breakfast early when we had morning excursions. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The food here is another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s honestly some of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The location is perfect: a peaceful escape just a short walk or tuk-tuk ride from Mirissa Beach, Coconut Tree Hill, and other attractions. You get the calm of a quiet setting with easy access to all the action. If you’re visiting Mirissa, I couldn’t recommend Ami Mirissa enough. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, style, and heartfelt service. 🌴🌊

Lovely (4 night) Stay! 🌴 We were very satisfied with our stay. The property is small, with only a few rooms, which gives it a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was more than enough for us and even had a balcony. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The owner and staff were wonderful—very kind and warm-hearted. We arrived on the day of the Buddhist New Year celebration, and they welcomed us with a lovely treat (see photo). They always tried their best to accommodate our needs. Even on the day we were leaving early and didn’t have time for breakfast, they prepared a small takeaway snack for us. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. Location is also great. Its close (2km) to the main Mirrisa beach where are many restaurants which providing sunbeds and all the facilities during the day. And close is also famous photoshoot spot Coconut tree Hill.

Ami Mirissa is a modern property located in Mirissa - a stunning beach town on Sri Lanka’s spectacular southern shores. The hotel, which in my eyes is more of a boutique guesthouse considering there’s only five bedrooms, is a stylish showcase of contemporary stylings. I loved the textural concrete aesthetic that runs throughout the space! My bedroom was huge with a massive bathroom and small balcony with seating outside. The owners were lovely and happy to help with any issues I had.

There was an issue with hot water in my room, plus the shower light needing to be replaced, although to their credit the hotel owners fixed this promptly when I notified them. I had presumed I would get a full Sri Lankan breakfast, instead it was toast with avocado, and vegetables, etc. There wasn’t another breakfast option, besides toast with butter and jam, which I found disappointing considering the cost of the accommodation. It would be great to have a full breakfast spread for guests in my opinion!

Modern property, rooms offer any comfort needed (including fridge and TV). Tasty and abundant breakfast. Also had dinner there once - large menu, can recommend the Sri Lankan dishes. We rented a scooter directly with them which was super convenient. The team is friendly and easy going - yet also with timings - receiving breakfast and transfers to the minute or even before did not always work out (which was no problem for us).

One very minor thing that could be improved - the A/C is comparatively loud which can be annoying at night if you have lighter sleep

A good hotel with super modern and stylish rooms. The rooms are nicely decorated and feature a pleasant bathroom with a warm shower. The location is fine, but it’s recommended to have your own tuk-tuk, as the beach is at least a 5-minute drive away. Nice restaurants are also a bit further out. The staff is friendly but speaks very little English, which can make communication a bit difficult at times – though they do their best to understand you. The breakfast was surprisingly good!

Very clean and comfortable stay! The breakfast was excellent—they even welcomed us with watermelon juice and some sweets. It's a bit of a walk from Mirissa town (around 30 minutes), but the staff were incredibly helpful. They assisted us in finding cheaper tuk-tuks—though the PickMe app was still more affordable. They even lent us some cash for a tuk-tuk when we ran out, which was so kind of them.

A swimming pool would be an advantage.

Delicious drinks and breakfasts, friendly staff!

The staff struggles with basic English, making communication quite difficult. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the beach, so transportation is always a consideration. A table in the room would be helpful, especially since we need to work remotely, and it was incredibly hot outside. Additionally, the internet connection inside the room was very slow, which was essential to us.

We loved the hotel, the rooms were super spacious the bathrooms lovely it definitely had a luxury feel to it. The room had both a huge ceiling fan as well as AC unit. There was a kettle iron and iron board available on request. The breakfast was delicious and presentation was nice and colourful, served with fresh juice every day. The staff was soo friendly and always smiling ready to assist. We were looked after very well by all the staff will definitely miss staying there. WiFi was working well and shower was nice. There are huge flat screen TV’s in each room. The beach is a 2 minute walk.

Nothing not to like.

Property was nice and clean. Rooms were big…bathroom for my room was even bigger…Staffs were so helpful. Rockey is the show stopper though 😉

Staffs were nice but they were not very equipped with English… had a very hard time to explain things. Breakfast was tasty but took very long time to serve and also due to language barrier they missed some items
