Ami Mirissa is a modern property located in Mirissa - a stunning beach town on Sri Lanka’s spectacular southern shores. The hotel, which in my eyes is more of a boutique guesthouse considering there’s only five bedrooms, is a stylish showcase of contemporary stylings. I loved the textural concrete aesthetic that runs throughout the space! My bedroom was huge with a massive bathroom and small balcony with seating outside. The owners were lovely and happy to help with any issues I had.

There was an issue with hot water in my room, plus the shower light needing to be replaced, although to their credit the hotel owners fixed this promptly when I notified them. I had presumed I would get a full Sri Lankan breakfast, instead it was toast with avocado, and vegetables, etc. There wasn’t another breakfast option, besides toast with butter and jam, which I found disappointing considering the cost of the accommodation. It would be great to have a full breakfast spread for guests in my opinion!

Modern property, rooms offer any comfort needed (including fridge and TV). Tasty and abundant breakfast. Also had dinner there once - large menu, can recommend the Sri Lankan dishes. We rented a scooter directly with them which was super convenient. The team is friendly and easy going - yet also with timings - receiving breakfast and transfers to the minute or even before did not always work out (which was no problem for us).

One very minor thing that could be improved - the A/C is comparatively loud which can be annoying at night if you have lighter sleep

We loved the hotel, the rooms were super spacious the bathrooms lovely it definitely had a luxury feel to it. The room had both a huge ceiling fan as well as AC unit. There was a kettle iron and iron board available on request. The breakfast was delicious and presentation was nice and colourful, served with fresh juice every day. The staff was soo friendly and always smiling ready to assist. We were looked after very well by all the staff will definitely miss staying there. WiFi was working well and shower was nice. There are huge flat screen TV’s in each room. The beach is a 2 minute walk.

it’s amazing place for visiting Mirissa and Sri Lanka. We are very grateful to the hotel owners for a wonderful month where we had everything for comfort, care and breakfasts. For the first time in all our travels to different countries, we wanted to call this hotel home and not leave it. The rooms are decorated perfectly, there is a lot of space and everything is thoughtfully designed. The view from the window is as if you were on safari: sometimes we saw monkeys, birds, squirrels, mongooses, varans and heard peacocks. It takes 3 minutes and 400 rupees to get to Mirissa Beach by tuk-tuk. Wonderful place, thank you Ami Mirissa for such a wonderful experience.

Property was nice and clean. Rooms were big…bathroom for my room was even bigger…Staffs were so helpful. Rockey is the show stopper though 😉

Staffs were nice but they were not very equipped with English… had a very hard time to explain things. Breakfast was tasty but took very long time to serve and also due to language barrier they missed some items

The property was located near to the beach side (3mins ride by tuk tuk) and the staff there were very sweet and helpful. The rooms were well designed and very clean. The stay included breakfast as well which was very good and a great start to our day.

Everything was amazing! The staff were professional, helpful and kind. The hotel food was sooo delicious and it's literally 500 meter from a beautiful beach with Chrystal water. If we come back, we'll definitely come back to this hotel. Only hotel so far in sri lanka that don't have catfish pictures! Looks exactly like in the picture posted on booking.com

There's no pool but really not needed because the ocean is as blue and clean as a pool.

The hotel is super neat and clean . Location is very convenient ,bus stop is just besides the hotel ,you can get many buses and tuk tuk . Sachin hosted us really well . They have a big dining and bar area and a lawn area too. Food is great. The beach is just across the road from the hotel , has options for scuba diving and snorkeling. Over all a good stay .

Just the power cut in middle of one night for sometime .

Loved our stay here, very modern rooms, nice location, very quiet, friendly staff. The breakfast was the best of our trip, something different after day and to such high standard. The people doing breakfast do a great job.
