A perfect place to relax and unwind as a solo traveller, a lovely resort with huge rooms and two pools. The buffet options for both breakfast and dinner were varied each day and the housekeeping always kept the rooms clean. The gym was also nice with air conditioning and water and was empty every time I went so I had it to myself.

Fairly secluded which is nice though I'd advise to hire a car or some mode of transport if you're thinking of staying here as you will need it to get around if you're thinking of leaving the hotel. WiFi was strong, staff was friendly, room was huge, food was good and reasonably priced.

Now this is being picky.. but I'd have preferred a little more variety to the breakfast buffet. Though there was a lot and it changed daily, I'd have expected more fruit but that's just a personal preference. Apart from that, I really don't have anything bad to say about my stay.

I loved this hotel. I arrived early, before check-in time. No problems, I had something to eat and drink wjhile waiting for my room. I had been travelling all night and so hungry and tired. it wasn't long before my room was ready so appreciated the early check-in. The staff in the restaurant were exceptionally nice and friendly. I had amongst the best food here while staying in Sri Lanka - both ordering from the menu and then later in the evening from the buffet when my friends arrived. The vegetarian curries, dhals and breads are delicious. My room and bathroom were comfortable, clean and spacious.

The lagoon was nice and the pool looked over this. The room was big and relatively clean, with good aircon. The staff were really helpful and the restaurant food was good.

The room smelled a bit, the restaurant was quiet but that may be the season we travelled in. There was some noise from a wedding but the staff asked them to be quiet.

Arie Lagoon was a very nice hotel , we enjoyed it a lot. The place is quiet and clean, the garden and the view is beautiful. We would come back for sure again .I would recommend this hotel to all travelers to Sri Lanka . The housekeeping did also a very good job .

1. Around the pool the woods needed to be fixed urgently , this way how they are now , they are dangerous if you walk barfoot there 2. The staff is very kind but if they see there are not many guests they are talking loud and having fun witheachother at the restaurant area ! Thats why few times we needed to wait bit longer until they took our order for drinks and food . This may never happen if there are guests ! 3. Sometimes needed to wait very long for our food ! 4.Some of the staff didnt have nice smell

very close to the airport when we needed somewhere to stay after a long flight. the pool beds face the lagoon and you get some lovely morning and afternoon sun but less in the evenings when the sun sets. staff were very helpful and arranged taxi’s for us on the “Poya” New Year, despite it being very busy in Sri Lanka. rooms were very modern and comfy with large beds, everything very clean.

service was a little slow for the a la carte menu but the food was excellent and it was of course New Year so hence the delay. all the team were very accommodating.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were big and spotless, and the staff was very welcoming. We loved the big garden and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The environment was calm and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely return!

Very well kept. Aesthetically pleasing. Great and super helpful staff. Peaceful area. Great for couples. Amazing views. Super comfortable rooms with all utilities included.

Knife disappeared after first cleaning. Buffet much more expensive than ordering directly from the menu. Menu way tastier than buffet.

The staff are the happiest and most professional I have come across in over 60 countries visited.The gardens, facilities and large rooms with a balcony were excellent.Transport was at the front of the hotel.Good value and lovely food.

All excellent Nothing I did not like.

The staff at the hotel made the hotel, they were all so friendly and professional. One person in particular, a man named Saranga made my stay and went out of his way to make sure I always had everything I needed. Without Saranga my stay would have been average. Even during the crisis in Sri Lanka he made sure everything was possible for me to do.

There really is not much bad to say about the property, the place is rarely remote and the breakfast was the same everyday. But besides that it was lovely.
