I had an excellent stay there. The restaurant staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always ready to accommodate special requests. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options, and the service was prompt. Their hospitality made my dining experience truly enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended!

Such an incredible place right in the town but feels like you are in a tropical jungle! The pool is beautiful and our little terrace was perfect to sit on and watch the bird paths flying above. The outdoor bathrooms and showers make you feel like you are in a nature spa. The buffet is INCREDIBLE (we really didn't think it was going to be worth it, as quite pricey compared to Sri Lankan prices) but it was so good with so many local and foreign options! Our safari tour was so affordable and ended up being private with an amazing driver, we didn't need a guide because he was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Nothing, loved it all!

Such an amazing experience. They offer a great range of safaris from 3 hours too all day safaris! The bed was comfy and felt super safe from the mosquitos with the net around us; the bathroom was clean despite it being outside, only a few leaves here and there. Pool was amazing for a little down time in the evening and food was really lovely. The staff were also really helpful and nice.

We were so tired from the safari that we had left the doors open whilst having a nap and a lizard did get into our room. However that was our own fault, just remember that there are still lots of bugs and animals around! Pool could also be a little cleaner.

Great as a base for doing Safari, but not so good for in the local area in our opinion. We felt we had to use the restaurant for all meals. The restaurant was nice and the staff were very good, particularly Saman. Food took quite a while to cook, which was surprising as it wasn’t busy. Somethings were missing from the menu, but food was good and reasonable prices. The safari was excellent. Our guide was amazing and got us to a good location and we saw lots of animals and we were very happy with it, we think his name was Santie. The highlight of this trip so far. Go here for the safari. Good pool which we enjoyed. Loads of good wildlife seen from the camp as well. Monkeys, fruit bats, hornbills and eagles. Highly recommend.

The location is good only a 10 minutes walk away from Udawalawe junction where busses pass into several directions. The whole property is well maintained, the staff is super friendly, the pool is clean as well as the room. Regarding the latter, it is worth mentioning that we had coffee and tea bags, a kettle, and a fan as well. Even though we were offered a safari tour, it was absolutely okay that we had booked one on our own (that's not the usual case in Udawalawa as some accommodations only give rooms to customers also booking a safari; happened to us twice before). The breakfast is buffet and the best we have had so far in Sri Lanka with a variety of dishes from local to continental.

The interior is already a little bit old. However, it's clean and okay. Be aware that you are close to nature and therefore shouldn't have food in your room. I our case, mice or something similar ate some of our snacks for the next day, even though all doors and windows were closed.

We stayed in a poolside villa, which was lovely - as advertised. The bed was comfortable, there was a kettle and a fridge in the room, the air con was decent (it died a couple of times but easily rectified by a button on the outside), and the pool was lovely. The room had a large double and also a single on the side, the outside bathroom was super clean. The hotel was very quiet and a nice place to relax. There was bar service all day (not really an actual bar but someone on hand to offer drinks), and the food was great. We booked a safari with the hotel, which was great as well (a guide hopped into our jeep as we entered the park, working for tips. We didn't ask for this but he was very knowledgeable, and would recommend). The hotel booked us a taxi onwards towards the south coast, which was on time and well priced. Thank you!

Nothing, everything was great.

We particularly stayed at the Kottawatta Village to allow a safari visit to Udawallele (we did the half day, morning safari). The safari guide, Madu, was excellent. So informative and very helpful. We couldn’t speak highly enough of him and we saw plenty of amazing wildlife over several hours. Our accommodation wat the Kottawatta Village was very spacious and quite comfortable. The swimming pool (we only used one of two) was very clean. We used the half board plan option for meals which were very plentiful and with a wide choice.

We did however have a problem with dietary requirements at one meal but the manager worked quickly to resolve this. For those who like a long night’s sleep please be aware that some coconuts can land on the metal roofing at various times (can be alarming!) and, as some others have mentioned the call to prayer at a nearby mosque can start quite early!

The peace & tranquility- Pool No.1 bungalows are THE ones to choose - they are amazing with fantastic architect design in the outdoor bathrooms. The restaurant food is outstanding, even though a little expensive for SL, I would recommend, including the buffet option. I opted for half day safari and would say - it was enough to see all the animals in the park - also the terrain is v bumpy so can be tough at times - if you’re doing the sunrise one - make sure you wear warm clothes to remove when the sun rises! Make sure to see the fruit bats hanging from trees outside of the property - by the bridge over the river!

Nothing, everyone was super helpful & sorted out any concerns or issues promptly & efficiently!

This place is magical. It is an experience where you stay in tents, but you have everything you need, even the hairdryer. The view on the Jungle is amazing se even saw bih group od monkeys jumping on the roof tent and that was amazing experience. The nature around is so beautiful, beyond Words. When we came we were greeted with wet towels and amazing juice. The breakfast is buffet and is amazing. The restaurant on site has amazing food. Everybody is so friendly. The place is good starting point for Udawalawe national park and they organise everything for the safari, which was amazing. We saw elephants, crocodiles, buffallos and few beautiful birds including peacocks. In the evening we were relaxing in the pool and saw hundreds of bats flying in dusk. What an amazing sight. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed just one night and we’d like to stay more. The house was beautiful and the location even more. When you swim in the pool it looks like you are swimming in the middle of the jungle. Also the open air bathroom was a funny thing. We also booked with them the safari at Udawalawe National Park (5am in the morning). Our guide Madu was very prepared and good to find animals spots. We saw elephants, crocodiles, different type of eagles, water buffalo’s, two type of monkeys and more animals. We recommend this experience!

We suggest to bring eye mask for the night cause the windows are not fully covered by curtains
