What I loved most about Hotel Serenité was the incredible warmth and availability of the entire staff - every single person we encountered, from reception to restaurant service, showed genuine kindness and was always ready to help with anything we needed. The food quality was absolutely sublime. Every meal exceeded our expectations with exceptional flavors and beautiful presentation. We only went out for dinner once during our stay, and it immediately made us appreciate just how outstanding the hotel's culinary standards really are - the comparison was eye-opening! The property itself is beautifully maintained with comfortable, elegant accommodations and a perfect location that balances accessibility with peaceful tranquility. We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sielen Diva and it was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the hotel’s stunning architecture and elegant design. The culinary experience was exceptional—undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had. The chef’s creations were a masterpiece of flavors, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients that elevated every meal. Whether it was breakfast by the beach or a gourmet dinner under the stars, every bite was unforgettable. The hotel was impeccably clean, with beautifully maintained rooms and pristine public spaces. The beach was another highlight— huge waves and beautiful turtles. Above all, the staff made this experience truly outstanding. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond ensured that every moment was by special. We had such a wonderful stay at Sielen Diva. Ajit and his team provided the best hospitality throughout our stay and couldn’t do more to help us, including going to get us bottled water and diapers for our baby, looking after her to let us eat breakfast without distractions, and generally being friendly and delightful people. The food was amazing, the location was perfect with the most beautiful views, the room was very spacious and the whole hotel was kept extremely keen. We will definitely stay again on future trips to Sri Lanka and highly recommend.

Everything was great!

This hotel is very small — there are only 7 rooms, so it feels more like a boutique retreat than a regular hotel. I really appreciated that there were very few people around, which allowed me to fully enjoy the peace and quiet and have time to myself. The beach is beautiful, with stunning waves, and the staff is genuinely kind and welcoming.

There is no gym or yoga at the hotel, so you should be aware that you’ll be fully on your own when it comes to activities. However, if you’re looking for a spa experience, they can bring in an outside therapist upon request

The hotel is beautiful more like a large villa than hotel in style. All rooms face the sea and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The room we had - mora - was spacious clean and comfortable. The en-suite had very large bath with sea view and fabulous huge wet room type shower. Rooms are tidied each morning with evening turn down service too. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There’s an infinity pool with sun loungers right in front of the sitting area and dining space. But with only seven rooms nowhere felt overly busy. If you prefer private sitting areas the garden rooms might suit you more though as they had sun loungers right outside their rooms. Really easy to get to Fort Galle - you’ll need transport for this. we went into the Fort to eat most evenings. There’s a beach bar/cafe about 100m along the beach. Although on a busy road the hotel is well set back from the road and gated too. there are other hotels / bars / restaurants along this road too. A lovely hotel well thought out with numerous special touches. We loved it.

It’s a lovely hotel - the proximity of pool and sun loungers to dining space might not suit everyone but we were happy with it. the accommodation is lovely and staff really friendly and welcoming.

This place is absolutely stunning — a true slice of paradise. The setting is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. I had one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or attentive. Unawatuna is just a short tuk-tuk ride away, with plenty of great restaurants, though the food at the hotel itself was excellent — the tikka wrap, in particular, was delicious. While the private beach is picturesque, the sea can be a little rough for swimming. That said, just a short walk away you’ll find a beautiful, calmer beach where you can swim alongside sea turtles — a real highlight of our trip. Our room was enormous, with a super comfy bed and the most breathtaking views. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and recharge.

The best way to describe Sielen Diva is tranquil. The villa is beautifully designed and furnished with all the focus on the stunning ocean views. The staff were exceptional, attentive and warm and they've managed to create a unique place that feels like home with the amenities of a hotel. The room and bathroom was lovely and exactly what we needed. You instantly feel relaxed and at ease when staying here. And the food was delicious, the Sri Lankan breakfast and crab curry was a highlight throughout our entire trip. The cocktails and other breakfast selection was also delicious, I can't recommend this place enough for a relaxing and tranquil break on the Sri Lankan coast.

The activities on offer could be improved. The massage prices are 4 times the price in the local town, whilst I would expect some price inflation 4 times seems a bit extortionate. The yoga was also priced quite highly. Appreciate it may not be possible because of the small number of guests (which is a positive) I wonder if offering some activities to guests included in the price of the stay would be possible as that would be a great improvement e.g. film nights on the grass overlooking the beach, yoga sessions included in the price.

We felt incredibly comfortable throughout our stay, with every detail thoughtfully arranged for maximum relaxation. Sielen Diva is a place we would happily visit again and again, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and a beautiful getaway. A perfect retreat in every sense!

The Villa was wonderful. Our stay exceeded our expectations and whilst the amenities, pool and beach were wonderful, it was the Sielen Diva team who made our stay so memorable and wonderful. The team were incredible, the level of service they gave was outstanding. There is only a small number of staff (10) who are all incredibly passionate about their jobs and giving their guests the best stay possible. The food was also delicious and due to this we chose to eat at the Villa each day, apart from lunch at Turtle Beach and an evening meal whilst watching the sunset at nearby Galle. The food was made fresh and you could tell all the ingredients were sourced locally. The chef spoke to us a few times and again he was so passionate about the dishes he was creating. The menu had a wide range of options, it was very varied. I opted for the fish or seafood most days, The Chilli Crab, Baked Fish in Banana leaf and Hot Butter Squid were my favourites. On our last night, the chef prepared a special prawn dish for us, with fresh local bread. Food and drinks were more expensive than other hotels we stayed at, however considering the quality of dishes we were happy to pay. Breakfast was included and there was a wide variety of options available. Each breakfast started with fresh fruit, coffee, breads and freshly squeezed fruit juice. This is a small Villa, with just seven rooms so it is extremely relaxing and peaceful. We stayed for five nights and at times, the Villa felt like our own private place. It has a homely feel and we were genuinely very sad when we left. The villa is away from Unawatuna beach and Galle but there are local restaurants nearby, if you don’t want to eat in the Villa. Turtle beach is a short walk away, walking along the road. We honestly could not say one bad thing about the Villa or the team. Thank you to George and the team for making us feel so welcome and for taking care of us so well.

Nothing, 5 star Villa and service! If you are looking for a lively place to stay, this is not for you. But if you want somewhere luxurious but homely to relax and recharge, this is the perfect place!

Our stay at Sielen Diva exceeded all expectations for many reasons: - The villa is GORGEOUS - the pictures on the booking page are already beautiful, but in person it's even more beautiful. The common areas are comfortable and the room was spaceous, luxurious and worked well for our 7 day stay. The close proximity to the nearly private, quiet beach is also a massive a massive bonus as the beaches in the area are fairly crowded with tourists. - The food is DELICIOUS - we traveled around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and the food at Sielen Diva was the best we had throughout our whole trip. The menu is extensive with everything from Avocado toast and granola bowls in the morning to delicious fresh juices, specialty cocktails, home made ice cream to more traditional sri lankan food such as curries. I also have to mention that the chef and villa manager are super attentive to their guests' needs. Every evening we got a special mix of curries, one of us is allergic to onion and the food was adapted to this and we briefly mentioned that we love mangoes, after which we got fresh mango daily. - The staff is the KINDEST we've ever experienced - the villa staff was honestly what made our trip (on top of everything else). Everyone is SO SO friendly, helpful and caring. I want to give a special mention to the villa manager George who went above and beyond throughout the whole week to make our stay comfortable and smooth, organising rides, a special birthday celebration with cake, giving advice, picking up fresh veggies, seafood and fruit from the farmer's market and generally being an amazing human. Both of us have traveled loads around the world and stayed at top notch hotels and our experience at Sielen Diva was among the best (if not the best) hotel experience we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and STAY HERE!!!
