Almost everything was perfect. The breakfast was great, though a bit repetitive after four days. Staff were friendly and resolved a room issue that we had at the beginning. The kids club was excellent—our daughter loved it. And the sea view was truly unforgettable

The description of the rooms on booking.com is not clear and confusing for guests as well as staff. We booked a room for two adults and one child through Booking.com, expecting an extra bed for our daughter. However, there was no clear option to request one during booking. When we arrived, the hotel refused to provide an extra bed, saying the room was too small—even though there was space and we offered to pay for it. After repeated requests, they finally provided a solution the next day. This could have been handled much better from the start.

Overall very impressed with this hotel. Didn’t realise it only opened a few months ago when we visited. It’s very modern and beautifully designed. A few negatives listed below that could do with being addressed but given the beautiful pool area, service, and good wine prices I’ve still given it an 8/10 as I did enjoy the stay and would book again. Positives: - Room is beautiful and comfortable. Comfy bed, good AC, balcony overlooking the ocean. -On arrival your bags get taken to a security room for scanning while you check in. Unfortunately they then wanted my passport which was…. In my bag. This caused me to have to wait around for a good 15 minutes. Not sure how it was so slow. This needs to be sped up and if passport is needed inform people prior to taking the bags. - Restaurant and pool bar staff are outstanding, very attentive, drinks well priced (including wine at good prices which was a nice surprise in Sri Lanka based on my previous hotels). Seafood restaurant is absolutely brilliant though on the pricey side. Special mention to Hashan who helped serve us and the chef, Ruwan, for their very good service. - Pool/sun bathing area is near perfect, overlooking the ocean and able to walk directly into the ocean if you wish. Note the sunbeds are on sand / private beach area. Can get food to the sunbeds. Negatives: - A bit far from Galle itself. We found using uber or pickme that the drivers would often cancel after accepting the job as they didn’t want to go to that far. Reception offered to arrange a tuk tuk but quoted approx 3000 which is absolutely ridiculous. We found it best to just start walking and negotiate with tuk tuks that pull over to talk to you within a minute or two, usually paid 1000-1500 per trip. - Due to the position of the buildings, there is no direct sunlight at the pool area after about 3:30pm. The second pool area is a bit better for sun but has very few sun loungers - more here would be useful for this reason.

ne of the best locations I’ve ever visited — this hotel made me fall in love with Sri Lanka, and I’m already planning my second trip. I wouldn’t usually stay in one place for 10 days, but this destination is simply breathtaking. • Location: 100/10 • Food: 10/10 • Staff: Incredibly kind and welcoming If you’re someone who appreciates sunsets — all I can say is: wow, wow, wow. Although the hotel is still new and some facilities like the spa aren’t open yet, it doesn’t take away from the amazing experience. Once everything is up and running, I know it will be just as impressive as the rest of the property. In short, this hotel completely changed my view — I can’t wait to return again and again.

Small things still not working or set up due to newly opend

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Radisson collection hotel in Galle, and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome that I immediately felt at home. A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff at the hotel for making my stay so memorable. Your hospitality, attention to detail, and kindness truly stood out. I would also like to give a special mention to everyone at the Namikaze restaurant. Priyantha, Chaminda, Pawani, Odara, and Premeksha – thank you all for your outstanding service, friendliness, and care throughout my visits. You each contributed to making my dining experience exceptional. The food at Namikaze was absolutely scrumptious — every dish was a delight, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Thank you once again to the entire team at Radisson collection Galle, for a truly wonderful experience. I look forward to returning soon!

Maintenance is clearly a problem and if they don’t change something in a few months this hotel will look very bad. Curtains already have halls, coaches are in stains.. Some facilities, e.g. spa are still not functional. Hotel doesn’t offer arrangements for activities in Galle and the area. Check in was quite chaotic and took more than an hour. Staff seems inexperienced and needs a lot of reminders

Brand new, clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and beach areas were fantastic - even if you were to come just for the day. Some local beach bars and restaurants are just a short walk away down the road/beach. And the gym had all brand new equipment a good range of weights, but the best thing about it was the view over the jungle! I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to pay that little bit more compared to other hotels nearby to stay here.

I wouldn’t chose to book an airport transfer with the hotel - they quoted 250 USD, definitely use a local taxi service to book a transfer - only 60 USD. We used Blue Sky Taxis. Breakfast in the hotel was nice enough, but nothing special. Also, beware of the tuk tuk drivers outside the hotel - they over charge tourists by easily x3, and are quite intimidating. Don’t get fooled. This is not the hotel’s fault at all - just a warning for those staying. Definitely use the PickMe app and walk down the road a little to get picked up (we walked to Bar Una) - always worked perfectly and could pay by card.

The hotel is quite new and very well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate all needs. The breakfast was great, and the restaurant staff would go out of their way to make any dietary request possible. The pool area is a nice design, and the staff were available to assist with any requests. A great place to relax, see a beautiful venue and enjoy the tranquility of the amazing views. Likely the best in class hotel/resort in Southwest Sri Lanka. Chaminda, Paurani, Jayahi, Supan, Odara and Pimeksha were excellent staff at the resort.

We got a room upgrade with the collection premium, which had plenty of space. It had a living area, good amenities, a large fridge, and an oven. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. The pool is also good (there are two pools). The view was a lateral sea view, but it view was still great.

The service was very slow, and I had to repeat things over the phone twice sometimes. And once I didn't even call again to remind the same thing because it is annoying. Another thing to improve is the tub's hot water. Hot water was over when the bathtub was half filled, and the entire bathroom didn't have hot water for some time (10 minutes)
