We spent one week of our holiday at Angel Beach Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. Over time, we built a great relationship with the waiters — they were very kind, and it was nice to get to know them. The pool and the beach are both very close, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the sun. Every day, the hotel offered a special cocktail and a dish of the day, which was always a nice surprise. The staff were always friendly, smiling, and put a lot of effort into making sure we felt welcome. We really appreciated their hospitality and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Angel Beach. The rooms were spacious and well designed, the bed was so comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The included breakfast was delicious, with croissants for starter and a choice of American, vegetarian or local. The local with chicken curry and hoppers was my go to every day! The staff were very attentive and friendly round the pool, and the beach club layout was a great setup. There was always a good atmosphere, even when we were there on a low season weekend, with locals and foreign guests. They had a DJ on every day, and on the Sunday they put on a good BBQ! Great location just outside Unawatuna main town, on a nice little sandy section of beach, but easy to get a quick Tuk Tuk to restaurants. Would definitely choose again for a nice little beach break near Unawatuna.

Me and my partner stayed here on our trip around Sri Lanka and we stayed here during my partners birthday, I let the staff know beforehand if they could do something small but they went above and beyond. One of the staff Max was absolutely exceptional, he surprised us with figures made out of towels and gave my partner a birthday cake. He was always at hand if we needed anything and was a very lovely person. I would 100% recommend this hotel and thank you again to Max who made our stay 10 times better. Food is very nice and safe and the pool is top quality. It is right on the beach and only 5 minutes away from a beach full of turtles.

Wi-Fi didn’t work for a lot of our stay but that might have been a temporary issue and we could have been unlucky. Staff were very helpful to try and fix the Wi-Fi

The room was insanely spacious, clean, and modern. We especially loved the bathroom because of its design. Apart from that, the restaurant was amazing, with a wide range of cuisines available. Great swimming pool as well.

On the second day there was some kind of pest control early in the morning (like around 6am). We were not given any heads-up prior to that and we got woken because of the loud noise (turns out it was aircraft flying over dropping pest control) and saw the room and the hallway all covered in smoke with burning smell.

Absolute 10/10! We could not fault anything at all in the hotel, from the food on offer to the staff hospitality. The room was incredibly clean and also came with a mosquito plug already installed! A special mention should go to Nirosh who went above and beyond at every occasion, alongside the Head Chef and Manager. One thing to note is I woke up not feeling 100% one morning which was my own fault. My girlfriend went to breakfast alone and both Nirosh and the Head Chef kept asking about me and if there’s something they could make especially for me as I was not at Breakfast. Little things like that made us feel truly valued. The range of Tours on offer as well gave us more than enough to do. I would not be surprised if this hotel gained 5* status incredibly soon! Thank you again and we will be back!!

Great stay at Angel Beach! The rooms are lovely, and have everything you need (including air con, fridge, and even robes and slippers!). The staff are very friendly, especially Lasitha, Chamika, Hiroshan, chef Binar, Srimal, Nilanga, and the 2 trainee guys. We stayed for 3 nights and had a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, and the food was amazing! The hotel is right on a beautiful beach, and very close to the famous ‘rope swing’ and turtle point beach. Nicest beaches we came across in Sri Lanka. The sunbeds are big and super comfy, and the pool was enjoyed. Would recommend!

No natural light in the ground floor rooms. Food/drinks pricey compared to anywhere else we’ve been in Sri Lanka but expected/worth it.

Amazing hotel that had everything you needed, from lovely food to great drinks, pool and the sea at your feet. The accommodation was spotless and felt luxurious, attention to detail was great!

The walk in shower creates a slip hazard. The pool could have been cooler as a refreshing dip is needed in the heat. 20 minute walk from Main Street of unawatuna which may not be suitable for all, but tuk tuks always available and cheap.

The pool and the beach were really nice at this hotel, and we really liked the breakfast here. The room was large and very comfortable.

The hotel was a bit pricey for the location, but the quality was good. The restaurant staff and general organization of how they worked left much to be desired - we often waited long periods without being assisted by a server while watching other customers arrive after us and be assisted and served well before us. This happened each of the 3 days that was spent there, it seems to be a theme. We also had an issue with getting our uber driver to come to the parking lot as the local tuk tuk drivers parked there to get passengers don't take well to uber....

The rooms are decorated to a high spec. There were a lot of staff so service was always excellent and waiter service to the sun beds and tables which was very attentive. The breakfast here was 10 out of 10! Not a buffet , all table service . We also had a lunch and dinner here and both were good.

Abit on the pricey side for Sri Lanka, the staff and food were great, if it weren’t for that we couldn’t justify the price.

We loved Angel Beach , stayed there for 3 nights and fully enjoyed the relaxed beach vibe on comfortable sun beds for nearly 4 days. The beach is unreal > honestly one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches I have ever seen in the world !! Sea was quite wavy when we were there but still managed to walk on the beach for around 15min to reach turtle beach (much more populated !) and see a big turtle !!! Breakfast (fresh fruit, juice, croissant, eggs etc.) and lunch on the beach and dinner we would go into Unawatuna or Galle towns which both are really nice to visit! We also went for a surf lesson in a nearby spot (we got picked up from the hotel) Only 12 rooms in the property - many people visit the property for the day as it is really the best beach club in the area !
