Best staff, who went above and beyond to ensure us a good time. The breakfast was a lot and very good and they made sure to come up with new variations every day and cared for us being vegetarian as well. During breakfast, we could see monkeys in the surrounding area almost everyday. The pool was clean and the room spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Had a great relaxing week of vacation.

First of all - the pool, it was great to have it on a super hot days and be able to cool down and enjoy the shade. I swam in it every evening just to cool down from the heat too. pretty good location to walk to several beaches, catch the bus to other towns on the south coast and also walk to the main part of town for dinner. Very friendly and helpful manager :)

The only redommendation I'd have is to update the bedding as it had slightly dampy smell to it. Also, Unawatuna is just infested with rude Russians so anyone who is planning to stay in this town, should be aware of it.

Chamod was an excellent host. We had a lovely time at Urchin where we felt very at home. The pool was very relaxing and the beach just a stones throw. Lots of amazing places to eat around, with the majority just under a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Chamod helped with everything we needed and more, the room was excellent, very clean with great AC. We will definitely stay here again!

New and comfortable hotel with nice facilities. The hotel owner is also nice and ready to help. One can use the kitchen to store food or cut fruits. Relatively close to the beach, 5 minutes walk. Extra nice that the hotel is taking extra care of the environment - it has refillable shower gel bottles and proposes cleaning when required but not every day.

The AC is literally in front of the bed, but there is a fan too that one can use instead.

The manager is an extremely kind and smart guy. Since the hotel was not full, we received an upgrade. The room was very spacious, practical and clean. The hotel has a number of patio’s where it is very nice to sit. The pool is also a treat, even so close to the beach.

The town is strongly oriented on the many russian tourists.

Very good service and nice owner. We settled in at night without any problems. Very homely atmosphere, there is a common refrigerator, kitchen, paid breakfasts, a nice pool. The grounds were constantly being cleaned, despite the fact that we were the only guests most of the time. Around the hotel and on its territory is very beautiful nature. To the main street with establishments about 10 minutes on foot. We all loved it and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely hotel, very modern, friendly reception staff. We had a top floor room with air con which worked and a big comfy double bed. The hotel looks like the photos (rare!) and the room has everything you need for holiday- hanging space for clothes, table, lamps, lots of sockets, great shower and lovely pool. Nice communal lounge area on the top floor too

The pool is slightly on the small side- and the area is in the sun all day, it would have been nice for some shaded area by the pool to relax in The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the start of the beach strip. Close enough though!

Great Stay in March 2024, the hotel is very well maintained, clean, the air conditioning works well and has a large terrace where you can rest, it is surrounded by a lot of vegetation and a great pool, it is a very quiet area just behind the main street . Dimitri the host was very gentle, he was attentive to our needs. Highly recommended.

We loved the quiet location on the edge of town, yet an easy walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. The accommodation had a fresh Mediterranean feel that we loved! Spacious rooms with AC, WiFi and a great guide of the local area! Such a good touch.

A small fridge in the room would have been handy to keep drinks cool, but there is a communal kitchen area.

The place is fabulous. Close to the beach but far enough away from the busy road to be peaceful. No traffic noise at all. The room was spacious, clean and great air con and fan and the beds were really comfortable. The garden is lovely, pool was great. The manager was so helpful and kind. It has a nice terrace to relax on listening and watching the local wildlife too.

everything was perfect for us. Maybe a couple more chairs on the sun terrace and pool area but nothing to complain about really.
