A great position overlooking the rocks and beach. A good breakfast and a good sized room and bathroom with a very good shower. Their Pizza wasn't bad but not as I would normally prefer it. The staff were all very polite and friendly. Very nice to lay out on the sunbeds in the shade of the trees and with the sound of the sea in the background and although there is no pool, there is a handy shower nearby to wash of the salt water and sand and to cool you down . A lovely walk from the hotel to the other end of the beach and back will take about 40 minutes.

The road at the front of the hotel is rather busy and noisy and can be a bit of a distraction when using the restaurant. But, we didn't notice it while in our rooms, nor while on the sunbeds.

Fabulous stay! Rooms are nice, clean, balcony with amazing view, staff is very nice, food is excellent! Right ON the beach; the only hotel with such an advantage! Beach is also shallow enough to enjoy and waves are softer to relax in. A turtle did appear and were seen during 2 swims. Hotel has a nice rooftop top; unobstructed views!

For me this hotel was absolutely ideal and had everything I was hoping for. It is not fancy but super clean and comfortable, and the view is the most beautiful you can imagine, right over the sea. I also loved the beautiful waxed concrete bathroom. They provided beach towels in the rooms which was super handy. The breakfast was very nice as well. 5*

Tucked away at the quieter end of Unawatuna Beach this hotel is just perfect. You can easily walk (around the beach (or tuk) if you want to party.

Rooftop bar is coming soon, hopefully it’s open by the time we come back, because we will. Loved this place so much.

I stayed for 5 days in february.The location was perfect, directly on the beach. One night we saw a big turtle comming up on the beach ! My room was clean and well maintained, had AC, MOSQUITO NET, hot water shower and wiifii that actually WORKED.. The staff was very nice, friendly and efficient. The restaurant had local food on the menu as well as european. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options!! Everything I ordered was very good and well presented. Breakfast was delicious. Sri lankan bread, jam and jelly and a choice of eggs, french toast , curd, pancakes, roti and dhal, coffer or tea and a fruit plate. The hotel also had a pizza oven, a sweets corner and served cocktails. They also provided a laundry service. I highly recommend this hotel and I would love to stay there my next trip. The hotel also arranged a car to drive me to the airport and gave me a packed breakfast.

Service in the restaurant was on "Sri Lankan time" a bit of a wait some days, but always exellent when it arrived. having the kitchen upstairs and the waiters having to walk up and down the stairs with food and dishes propably was the main cause of the delay.

The location is perfect. Right on the beach and far enough from the beach party going on some nights in some restaurant. The rooms downstairs are big and comfortable. I extended my stay for a room upstairs as I wanted a really quiet room, that one was a lot smaller but cheaper too. Beach towels are provided. Internet is very good and there is a generator for full time power supply. All the staff is amazing and they really do whatever they can to help and make you happy. Big thumbs up to all of them !

In the first room upstairs, the mattress was too soft for me and the towel clean but old and stained; the lovely housekeeping staff changed it immediately on my request. I visited again a week later and had another room upstairs with a perfect mattress and towel. I would suggest the owners of the property to invest in more new towels and to check the mattress in each room to make sure all of them are still up to the standard and the price. ;)

Gorgeous colonial feel with wooden floors. A big room on the first floor overlooking the sea. Big ensuite, good quiet aircon and a handy safe. Great wi-fi. A big long verandah to sit and hear the waves and sip a drink after a lazy day on the beach. Its set at the eastern end, last on the beach, so away from the sometimes busling cafes and restaurants. I stayed 4 nights and would have stayed longer if I could. The owner and staff were great, so welcoming and helpful.

Lovely views, fab attentive staff, large, clean rooms and Kasy was wonderful organising a Christmas banquet, homemade pizzas, taxis and safari trip.

Located right on the beach, so very good location. Best area for swimming was about 200m walk. Restaurant served some of the best meals I've had during my 20 day stay in SL...very tasty! Also best breakfast selection I've seen here. Rooms were good, fairly standard. Hotel is located right on the main road, but I never heard any road noise as the rooms faced ocean side and sound of waves blocked it out. Special mention of Florence the cleaner who took great care and pride in her job, and regularly checked in to make sure everything was ok.
