Beautifully decorated and appointment complex. Lovely pool area.

Location via Lonely Planet book on Sri Lanka was slightly deceiving. Was made to sound that this residence was on a beach - which it isn't. Is close by but on a busy main road that needs crossing before the beach. Little bit of 'hard sell' for us to use their transport and taxi services which we didn't want or need.

The staff were exceptional. They couldn’t have done more for us. The villa is beautiful. And very well maintained.

Personal was really extraordinarily nice, friendly and always helpful. The pool was great. For breakfast there was always a large selection of fruit, vegetables and always a new selection of various goodies. It was just a few steps to the nearest beach and also the town. True, with the need of little dramatic crossing over a busy road. (Although the hotel is located on busy road, we havent heard single sound in our room. The room was really quiet, clean, nice smelling, airconditioned).

Don’t expect much from kitchens. There are not really for some big cooking. More warming food, occasionally making tea or coffee. But there is so many fantastic and cheap restaurants around, no need to cook.

-staff was very helpful and welcoming - i have received flowers upon check in - the manager is really thoughtful - received multiple complimentary drink - water bottle in the room - we had an issue with our room and they changed it asap - free shuttle to galle - towels and little snacks for the beach

- can improve a little bit on cleanliness - the neighbours had a party one night and kept us up all night ( not the villa s fault)

We were warmly welcomed by the owner family. We had 2 deluxe rooms opposite each other at front of hotel. Rooms very clean, comfortable, AC very good. Offered a snack menu on arrival, quite pricey but it’s freshly made and delicious and we needed lunch. Very attentive at all times, we had a guided tour of the gardens & pool. Extensive Breakfast selection for all tastes. Best coffee. Omelette cooked freshly as required. We popped back from the beach for a few minutes one day to pick up my mum and were immediately offered a cold drink. Lovely touch. Towels for the pool and towels & mats for the beach in a beach bag. The beach is just over the main road, we walked through another hotel restaurant on the beach and used their beds and seating as we bought drinks from them. 3 days of rest and relaxation. Thank you.

It is a nice guest house with private swimmingpool and rooftop garden. Summit was very hospitable. It was noisy for us because of the road but we had no problems with cancellation and moving to another hotel. But backpackers will definitely find a lot of advantages - such as several kitchens, so you can cook your favorite food and there is an alco market near by and the cheapest fruit market in the area. Also Summit can organize a free transfer to different beaches.

It is a small, very personal, owner-managed boutique hotel. The owner and a very large number of staff try to make the guests as comfortable as possible. There are lots of art objects of all kinds everywhere, especially sculptures. The hotel is only separated from the wide beach by a "normal" road (unfortunately also very busy at night). The breakfast is typical of the country, not European, which we found pleasant. You shouldn't expect European standards for water pressure (shower) either - but you are in a great exotic country. In any case, the luxurious individuality, the daily warm welcome of every guest and much more should be emphasized.

Boss was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us Even took us around in his own transport foc The rooms were brilliant and was a fantastic place Genuinely couldn’t do enough for you ,food was lovely and have never so welcome anyway, absolutely lovely place to stay

So we loved everything about this place The only thing they that would have improved my stay would be a slightly better poolside area( although they don’t have the room) And a bar and general seating area would be nice

Ridee Villa is perfectly located , so close to restaurants the beach ,shops etc The hotel staff are invaluable they go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience.. the security guard is also super helpful .. breakfast is nice and simple .. eggs any style and fresh bread and fruits as well as a mixture of other things .. our room was superb too !

The service was exceptional. Sumi and the team went above and beyond to accomdate us. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again when returning to Unawatuna. Their hospitality extended to dropping us off and picking us up from beaches throughout the day, and a freshly made smoothie at the accommodation waiting for us when we returned.
