quiet location with a shaded beach area. The room I stayed in was quite spacious, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. There was ample room to move around, which I found to be a great plus, and a variety of chair options to choose from for relaxation. The only minor issue was that one of the IKEA chairs in the room was broken, but it didn't significantly impact my stay. The bedroom had two air conditioning units, and while the first one had a tendency to shut off unexpectedly, the staff was quick to respond and promptly switched the electrical over to the second unit. Once the AC was working correctly, the room became wonderfully comfortable, making my stay quite pleasant. The bathroom was another highlight, with a good shower and excellent water pressure. It's always a relief to have a reliable and refreshing shower during your travels. The hotel's location was quite convenient, being just a short distance from the Turtle Bay Area. I particularly appreciated the proximity of good pizza and Persian restaurants in the area, providing diverse dining options. If you're looking to explore the surroundings, I recommend taking the bus into Unawatuna instead of haggling over the overpriced tuk-tuks, which can save you some money and hassle.

wifi was poor in the rooms and we had connection issues. In terms of dining, the breakfast at Sayura Hotel was a bit different from the traditional buffet setup, but it still offered a variety of choices. Some guests mentioned it as an English breakfast, but I wouldn't exactly call it that since it lacked beans, potatoes, and the sausages were more like cheap hotdogs. Nonetheless, there were plenty of other options to choose from, and it was a decent start to the day.

Lovely private beach to watch the ocean and both sunrise and sunset. Not swimmable though. Great facilities including the indoor pool. Good looking and comfortable room. Views from the room are amazing. I even slept with the curtains open and had complete privacy. I could watch the sunrise from bed. Excellent restaurant and F&B staff. All the food was really tasty. Great staff: I had a VERY big problem with the hotel on my final day, but the staff turned it into a really nice situation and did everything in their power to make me happy again. At the end of the day, mistakes happen but the best teams know how to make the customer happy. Its good value for money. One of the guys, in particular, a young guy who brought me a coconut to drink when I was stressed out. He showed me so much empathy and care. I also have to acknowledge the young man who I believe is the manager. Very professional and extremely helpful. What a credit to the hotel, he is!

Housekeeping could do much better.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff very helpful with all our requests. There is some sort of a lagoon just 50m from the hotel entrance where the kids could swim and snorkel. We even saw some turtles there.

Airconditioning stopped working during the night. Apparently this had something to do with the doors. The hotel staff told us in advance but we were not sure wat they ment. However, the problem was solved right away. So not a big deal.

The highlight of the hotel is the beach view and the the turtles nibbling on the rocks in front of the hotel. The hotel provides sun lounging and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was really spacious. While in high tide you cannot really swim just in front of it, but ten meters to left there is a perfectly calm spot to swim and snorkel with fish and turtles. Beach bars are also nearby.

The hotel seems a bit dated and would need a refurbishment - perhaps it’s Covid’s footprint. The breakfast is also not very impressive compared to what we have seen in the Sri Lanka. Nevertheless, the turtles next door definitely make up for it. Other dining options are also a bit further away.

People make any place truly beautiful. The owners of this hotel care so much about your comfort and cleanliness that very quickly you will feel at home here, where it is always clean, safe, cozy and harmonious. Always a clean pool, delicious breakfasts and attention to each guest as a family member. This is the place where you want to stay not only because of the ocean view, although the ocean view here is truly magical too!

All of us as a family enjoyed and fun staying in hotel, staffe is super nice, food was OK but need to improve unless it's superb location and scenery thanks for the hotel will hope to come back soon

The hotel is located in the most amazing beach I. Unawatuna. You literally walk onto the beach, and then theres an incredible natural pool where turtles swim right up to you. It’s an unforgettable experience! The staff and room (including the view) are excellent too. Have already been twice and will continue to come!
