Villa Baro is a beautiful hotel situated in a lovely location. The setting and the surrounding nature are simply stunning. Additionally, the staff is exceptionally nice, particularly the ladies in the restaurant. Please be aware that there is a separate building for some rooms, in addition to the main house which includes the renovated section. Despite staying in the separate building, everything worked out quite smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed the common area, which included a library and a pool table. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was excellent, accompanied by a great selection of wines. All in all was a very nice stay.

The beds in our room were quite uncomfortable. They consisted of two single beds pushed together that moved apart easily, and they were too soft and wobbly. Unfortunately, we didn't get a good night's sleep. :(

1)The people was so kind and friendly. 2)The service was so nice ( the name on the door of the room, table at the restaurant was so cute). 3)The location is absolutely beautiful, great to have a walk by the lake and take all the fresh air and vibes. 4)The food was so good ( had a burger at the bar and breakfast at the restaurant).

1) was no bottle to keep the water in my room, or maybe I didn’t understand where it was 2) there was a Cashew nut on the floor ( which I didn’t bother about it, just to be helpful)

The beautiful surroundings, the setting of location close to the lake and woods. Easy nature walking trail around the lake and goods. We liked the interior design of the restaurant and common rooms. Great hospitality, warm and friendly service, with an extra smile. The food was great. Liked the clothing the staff had in the restaurant. They all looked so beautiful.

The place is beautiful and charming. Location on the lake is beautiful. The room was great and comfortable and the food was great. The team was also very friendly!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Not so many vegetables.

breakfast was average at best. we had to ask for everything from bowls to croissants etc. the only thing in plenty supply was coffee. the buffet was always empty and eaten, this is the one big thing that needs improvement.

The location by the lake was magnificent. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent. There even was a possibility to rent kajaks directly at the hotel and there was free charging for our hybrid car. Whenever we will be in this area again, we will definitely choose Villa Baro!

Lovely hotel between the golf courses and the lake. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly. Restaurant is excellent (don't forget to book in advance)

Beautiful resort with great views on the lake, tasteful interior and excellent cuisine and very friendly staff. Free parking on the ground. It’s easy to do day trips to Göta Kanal or Söderköping from Åtvidaberg and to conclude the day with a nice walk around the lake (~ 8 km) before dinner.

Just to let you know, we didn’t miss those things, but you might: There are no TVs in the rooms and no mini bar and safe.

Positioned by a beautiful lake which is well worth walking around. (7km). It sounded like not many UK tourists have found Villa Baro and most guests were probably there for the golf. However we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like special guests.

Menu was limited in the evening but was more than adequate for a one night stay.
