The hotel is located on the station square, on the second floor of a historic building. There is an elevator in the building, it is also very historic! The hotel is a hostel type, with shared toilets and showers. Vintage style, all the furniture except the beds is historic, if you like that, then you will be interested. The price includes breakfast, which is nice. The bed linen is clean, the bed is comfortable. It's very hot now, there was a fan in the room, it didn't help, but thanks for trying. There is no air conditioning. There is a mini kitchen, you can make coffee and heat up food.

Since everything is expensive in Sweden, this is an expensive hotel for its category. But, it is a big city and the summer season. It was very hot and if there are many guests, then the showers are just a sauna, because the ventilation does not cope, this is a historical building. I would like a freshener in the toilets, because there is an unpleasant smell. In our room there was a historical sofa, a slightly broken armchair and a table on which the TV stood, as well as two small nightstands by the bed, there is no surface where you can put keys or something else. In the hallway there are carpets that look old and dusty, maybe it's time to replace them? In general, it is acceptable, because you only sleep there.

The (free) breakfast was really good. The rooms clean and the environment really quaint and nice. The signs were great and the staff really friendly. I really can't think of anything negative to say about the place!

I really have nothing negative to say about the place. But if there's something that could be better it's that there are shared showers/bathrooms. But that's clearly stated in the hotels description so it shouldn't come as a surprise. And there's a sink in the room so at least you have access to water.

I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel. This was a clean and comfortable hotel. The breakfast had a nice selection with fresh vegetables and bread. There were many showers and bathrooms for the number of rooms, so it was not inconvenient to have these outside the room. My late check-in was easy to arrange and the hotel's owners communicated with welcoming and clear messages.

Curious why the score isn't higher, it's brilliant for what it is. An old temperance hotel in a historic building, atmospheric, quiet and well-kept. Friendly greeting, got an early check-in and a nice corner room away from the station square. Free coffee and biscuits in the afternoon. Good breakfast in a bright and cosy room. The hotel is worth a trip to Gävle in its own right!

Check-in would have been easier if I had let them know of my arrival time beforehand. Otherwise you need to call the number posted on the front door. Called and sent a couple of messages and after a short while I got a message with access code and everything I needed. So no big deal in the end. Couldn't get hot water from the tap in my room but with the shared wc a couple meters away this is first-world problems really.

Fantastic staff, nice family room, good breakfast. Really nice and cozy location. Actually more lika supernice hostel with a great and beautiful atmosphere. Perfect for a family stay but also as a couple. Thank you for a really good time!

the price was a bit high, but in general I've found expensive hotels everywhere in Sweden, so it's not the accommodation's fault, it was perfect value for money by Swedish standards

Did’nt eat any breakfast, was too hungover to Wake up in time for it. But I can imagine it was very good!

I guess there could have been 1 More pillow in the bedroom.

I didn't do the breakfast as I had to leave so early to catch a train and fly out of Stockholm, but it was such a cute space! Very conveniently located across the street from the train station, too.

Not really anything. My room was sorta on the warm side, but it didn't really bother me.

Great hosts, hotel very close to the railway station and Ica shop, comfortable beds :)

There was no possibility to get the packed breakfast very early in the morning and we had to leave to reach Linköping as soon as possible.
