It was so awesome! This boutique hotel is such a gem in Kalmar city! Went there for Easter and I wish we stayed longer. Close proximity to the central station, the Kalmar Castle and museum, and the shopping/resto area. So so charming and will definitely come back. They have incredible breakfast buffet with made to order omelette. Definitely not your typical Swedish simple breakfast...an elevated version, that is. They have also "kvällsmat", soup, salad and bread light dinner included in the price. That was a nice touch for when you just want something light for the evening.

Wish we had stayed longer.

I have stayed at property before and like it because its convinient location. 5 min from bus and trainstation in the old part of the city. In summer green and lush surrondings.This time I arrived late and leftt early. An extra treat is that you can order a breakfast bag the night before if you are an early bird. Also, they have a very good restaurant0

Actually nothing. You have to be aware that this is not a big hotel in an older house with annexes with small but cosy rooms

This hotel is an absolute dream. The location is perfect, and both the exterior and interior are stunning. The rooms are beautiful, the beds unbelievably comfortable, and every detail feels carefully thought out. The staff are warm, welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and set in a lovely space. A wonderful stay from start to finish — highly recommend.

The staff are wonderful and the location is perfect! The bar/cafe in the garden is super nice if the weather is good (it was when I stayed)

The breakfast trays were dirty - come on, a good place like this should be able to wipe them properly - there was no shower curtain, so the floor in the bathroom became wet... and there was nothing to soak that up Minor stuff - the place is great! - but a little bit more attention to detail and it would be epic.

Historic building with lots of charm in a park like environment. The castle is a short 5 min walk through the park away. Old town Kalmar is also very close, I would say about a 10 minute walk to the old city wall. The room was charming with a nice view of the park. There is a nice bar at the premises where we enjoyed some drinks after the free dinner buffet. The breakfast in the morning was awesome. I would definitely recommend and return the next time I am in Kalmar.

Old world charm with modern amenities.

Very good location next to the castle, old town and sea. Nice, clean and cosy room. Really great and varied breakfast. Nice sunny terrace and bar. We forgot to book parking in advance but luckily some lots were available in reasonable price nearby. Kalmar is very nice historical town. Televison (which is not self-evident in Sweden). Very peacefull after 21:30 when the bar was closed. Good beds and billows.

We stayed here as a mid point stopover between Stockholm and Malmö. Good location with parking on site. Ate at the hotel in the evening, The food was very nice and the staff were friendly Stayed in a suite which was very large with good seating area

Felt a little dated and clearly requires a lot of maintenance

The hotel has a ton of charm. Nice with coffee and tea and a water tap in the reception. Very nice garden restaurant outside. Hotel parking was good but you have to book it ahead of time!

Too few and badly placed power outlets in the room. Very small rooms, extremely small shower. No elevator.

The hotel is charming. Decorated so cute, but also was clean with helpful staff. Adorable restaurant on site. Bikes you can use to ride around the pretty downtown. Walking distance to the castle and beach.

If you are going as a couple make sure you get a room with a big bed. Our room had two twins, which was fine because we were on a multi-family group trip, but my husband and I had a good chuckle about it.

lovely older facility with updated leisurely outside patio/bar and indoor sitting room bar. Exceptional service from genuinely friendly people. Very comfortable beds with luxury bedding, felt like I was sleeping on a cloud.

Outdoor music came on early in the morning which we could hear from our room.
