Very good hotel centred around a courtyard. Good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. We especially appreciated the still and sparkling water at reception as well as the complimentary use of the bikes. Fabulous location, mins from central station, restaurants and shopping. However, the City Park across the road and the foot/cycle path along the Baltic coast a few minutes away really were the highlights of our stay. Simply beautiful.

Nothing of note. The annex is a little dated, but the rooms and bathroom are big. Perfectly serviceable, just not as luxurious as the main building, but this is reflected in the price.

Great location of the hotel within walking distance of Kalmar Castle and the city center. Quiet location. Possibility of parking directly in the hotel area. However, advance reservations are required. Price 125 kr/day. Staff very nice and helpful. Excellent communication with the staff via emails before our arrival. Free water and coffee available all day. The room is older, but there is everything you need. Super comfortable bed.

It's a shame there isn't a smaller fridge in the room. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, but rather average.

The breakfast included in the stay was extremely nice, the staff was very understanding and explained anything that may seem confusing, and even though i personally had one of the cheaper rooms it was still very clean and comfortable. I'd also like to note the nearby historical and cultural sites for anyone interested. The hotel is, as the name implies, right next to Kalmar castle, which is absolutely a must see if you're nearby. The hotel is also not too far away from Kalmar läns museum, which offers an equally impressive historical journey.

The checkout time was a bit early, although this is made up for by having a very late check in time. The reception was not always manned so the wait there was a bit longer than you'd normally expect as well.

It was absolutely gorgeous - on beautiful tree lined street facing the sea! Kalmar castle and town literally on doorstep. Have never felt so welcome anywhere - free bikes, fantastic breakfast with huge selection bacon eggs pancakes with homemade strawberry sauce! Could not remind more highly

Very charming location and restaurant. Being right next to the huge park was perfect for kids.

Extremely small room for a "family suite". Beds were somewhat uncomfortable. The Annex building appears to be differently renovated than the main buildings, which looked prettier and more comfortable.

Stayed at the annex, basic room but has everything you need. Comfortable bed, good shower and great breakfast! Location is close to the station and old town, perfect! Hotel and surroundings are very cute. Only stayed one night but would definitely come back.

No power outlets next to bed. Floor could be a tidy bit cleaner.

Walking distance to train and bus central, old town, Kalmar Castle etc., but on a quiet picturesque side street, and with a beautiful court yard. The room and bathroom was nice and big.

Some of the breakfast items seemed to be old and stale. The hot items were lukewarm. The bread was good and there were enough variety overall, though.

Checkin was easy; location was very convenient to the castle. There is parking on the street but limited to three hours; the hotel offers all day parking for a reasonable fee. Breakfast was delicious; coffee machine provided many choices. Evening salad/soup was complimentary in the main building and was delicious in a cozy setting. Coffee/tea was always available in the reception area. Staff was friendly and helpful.

A large room with a rear garden view. Perfectly adequate. Very close to the castle and the beach, and a 20 minute walk to the centre. Loved the restaurant we had a great dinner and an excellent breakfast was included.

The hotel has its room distributed over several properties, with the main reception, common area, restaurants etc in the middle of it. The hotel even provided complimentary soup and salad for dinner. Breakfast was also very nice. Old town and the main bus station and train station are 10-15 minute by foot, the castle is basically next door. So pretty centrally located as well.
