Really nice hotel, it is air conditioned almost everywhere, which is nice during hot summer. There is nice lobby bar and restauraunt/bar in the top level where you can enjoy nice during summer. Room had good bed, TV, shower, silent (central) AC and minibar. Bed was quite good, not too soft, pillows were the weakest thing, one too big and one too small. I did not hear any sound from outside so the soundproof was really good, only some door slams from same corridor very audible. Breakfast buffet was really nice, and also the space where it was served. (if you don't mind occasionally the screaming children during summer holiday season - for solo travelers I recommend in ear headphones if you want to enjoy your breakfast)

No cheap parking options available for car. Closest parking hall costs almost 20 € per day. There are cheaper ones if you are willing to drop your car further away from the hotel. Room was not clean as it should be, nothing serious but I still drop a remark.

Liked location, pleasant interior nicely done, nice restaurant, nice reception, bar and breakfast room. Breakfast was very good with healthy options. It has a small gym as well. I didn’t use the spa as when I tried I was told it was full because of drop in bookings which were unusually high that day. Will use next time. Restaurant was good food.

For some strange reason, even though the housekeeping staff were on my floor they neglected to clean and tidy my room on second day. Bit bizarre. I mentioned it when I checked out but didn’t complain on day as out and busy. They had plenty of opportunity as room was empty for decent period of time - they just never did it. Mildly annoying.

The hotel was really close to the centre of Umeå, a few minute walk and you have malls and restaurants all around. The beds were incredibly comfortable, especially the pillows. Rooms had everything they needed, and the bathroom was really fresh and equipped with high quality products. The facilities were modern and clean. Hotel bar had a good sortiment of drinks. Breakfast was also very good, a wide soriment of more heavy breakfast such as eggs, sausages, bacon, but also lighter foods, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruits, smoothie and so on. Staff was friendly and polite.

we upgraded our room at the hotel for 20 euros, to get a bigger bed for instance. We got really excited, since our room was now on the 11th floor, and we were expecting a nice view. To our disappointment the view from our room, was straight into another apartment building that was really nearby. Felt a bit disappointing that we paid more for the upgraded room, but unknowingly most likely downgraded our view. The hotels site did not show this view at all.

This is an ok hotel very centrally located in Umeå. It is well decorated, the room was nice. Wifi was ok, pillows were alright. Appropriate bathroom, ok toiletries. We’d probably come back!

It is a bit on the expensive side, and then details start to matter more. For example: there are not a lot of towels and those that are are black/grey and so are not very welcoming. Saying that the room had views over the river is a stretch. You can see the river but you see mainly a huge office building. The breakfast is not so good. There many options but everything looks better than it tastes (like: pancakes are hard, ginger shot was terrible and there is really no need to have either in the offer).

The standard double room was on the small side, with not much storage cabinets for your clothes and personal items. The only available "cabinet" was under the bench, which was quite dusty. The Nor restaurant at the top floor can get busy - consider reservation in advance.

We got a free upgrade to a Superior room. The people working there are really nice , and provides extra service. One of them even helped our 10 year old with making a grilled cheese sandwich at the brekfast. She waited with him the while it took for the cheese to melt, and talked with him ❤️ The visitt was really good, so were the room and facilities.

Lovely staff! The room was quiet and the bed was super comfortable.

I visited the spa and it was a disappointment. Only one sauna, and only one pool and it was really small and too crowded. The spa was loud and quite stressful so I only stayed for 20 minutes. Good thing: entrance was cheap, so it was ok, and the view was beautiful.

We were very impressed with the breakfast service, the food was wonderful and such a variety.Truly a scandinavian experience. The location was great, we could walk around the city and enjoy the history, water views and general atmosphere.

No parking garage for the days we had a rental car. The parking garage had a payment system that was somewhat confusing especially for Americans who don't know Swedish.
