Excellent location, close to the center, the river, within walking distance (15 minutes) of the train station. We had a windowless interior room, which was a great idea because it never really gets dark in Umea in the summer. I'm sensitive to sunlight, so a windowless room was the best way for me to get a good night's sleep. The gym was functional, but would have been better with a view. Wanted to try the sauna but it doesn't open until afternoon. Breakfast was pretty good.

1. Ceilings/floor are thin, so we could hear guests above running, stomping, or jumping late at night. 2. The staff was absent for about 20 minutes at checkout. All the staff that walked by were wearing big headphones, so they don't seem to hear if you ask them for something.

The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the bus station and the train station and is very close to the town hall and the river. After a very comfortable night the breakfast is superb with good helpings of bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. The hot chocolate was a nice change from the different coffees, along with a croissant. The breakfast room was a calm area with a nice view out on to the street. It is easy from the hotel to reach the river and cross the different bridges over the icy water to get good views of the city before making for the station.

Ingenting

The hotel is located in the centre of the town, perhaps 7-8 minutes by foot from the station. Good sized rooms, comfy beds and everything very clean. Internet good, very good and varied breakfast.

I had to wait 15 minutes in the queue to check-in. One guest seemed to be having an issue so everyone needed to be processed by one member of staff. It would have been helpful if I had received an apology for my wait. I had issues to find the WiFi password, it turns out that it is displayed on the check-in counter, but since it was busy when I arrived it was out of sight. Again an area where reception could improve: Many hotels at least point you to the information.

Perfect location. Huge lobby with two distinct spaces, and fast elevators. Nourishing healthy breakfasts with veggies, fruits, desserts, and tons of tasty treats. Self-served coffee/tea and juice are available at the reception 24/7. Room for two is with enough space for personal comfort. A table and a chair do not take up much space. Laundry service. Sauna and gym are available. A couple of good restaurants are literally by the corner.

Sometimes underlying parking\garage sounds unexpected

Breakfast was basic, but good. The location in the middle of town was superb since you could go back to the room and relax if you needed. Close to city buses, restaurants and and a great pub just across from the hotel. Even with the city centre location we weren't disturbed by outside noise.

There were no larger mugs for tea, just tiny coffee cups. The room was quite warm even with AC on a low setting (had a windowless room so couldn't open windows)

It exceed my expectations,, I didn't realise my stay include free use of a sauna and a gym of which I was next door to. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Extremely clean and cheap, only 45 euros a night. It was great value. I would definately stay again. I love how warm and almost family like the staff treated me.

I really can't fault it.

Clean, tidy. Nice vibe at the ground floor, was great for our girl weekend away to able to sit and talk for hours. Shops like grocery, clothing shops to purchase those little items that had been forgotten basically outside the front door, could walk from bus/train station = very convenient. Parking next door to (was able to sort that middle of the night = bonus point. Nice variety on breakfast buffet. Loved the golden elevators!

Could potentially have had a some additional pillows in the room. I'm sure they would have supplied them if we had asked but didn't want to bother anyone at that point. So on us really.

The flexible checkout time, it was set to 12 (which in itself is generous) but if additional time is needed and there's availability you can get additional time up until 18 which is the most generous checkout time I've ever experienced. Also a great breakfast, clean rooms, accommodating staff and just in general a great and priceworthy experience.

We didn't get a room with a window, I don't remember if that was specified or not, we might have missed it, but it was a bit disorienting to have no daylight. The pillows were also too big (which became an issue for us when one in our party has back problems and these big/high pillows were increasing the problem) and the extra bunk bed was hard as a rock to sleep on (although that was expected). All in all it was still a great stay.

The breakfast was abundant and varied, with attention to allergies and intolerance. The room was ok, warm and clean with a large enough bathroom. The hotel is in the city centre, at walking distance from the river banks, restaurants and from the bus stop to/from the airport.

I liked that the check-in and check-out was very fast and easy. Generally I there was not much need for me to interact with any personnel. Everything was well organisied

I think the breakfast could have had a few more options but overall it was still very good.
